Its distracting and sounds like an insincere show of active listening—especially when not immediately followed by further discussion by the sound-maker.

I’ve listened to many episodes and love the information but particularly liked the recent 1865 episode and the discussion on the paradigm shift in the political parties and how we might be going through another shift now. What a fascinating assertion!

I absolutely loved the latest episode on Peggy Arnold. The “deleted scenes” from history had me gasping along with Dr. Price. I’ll be thinking about Hamilton picking peaches while Benedict escapes and how Peggy and Benedict compare to “bad Felicity” and her spy husband in the Americans for awhile.

Growing up in Germany I really only ever learned some very basic American history without really going into details. I always try to find ways to get deeper into it and learn more about it. This podcast is an excellent source. The right combination of information and enterteinmant. Good job!

This podcast is what everyone in this country needs to listen to NOW! Disagreements have always been part of the American culture and it’s part of why there is no real “perfect American”. It also draws a great parallel to modern politics when they discuss how we want to create our identity based on the antithesis of other ideals instead of focusing on their own unique good ideals. Politicians today too often focuses on what their opponent is doing wrong opposed to what they will do right and this first episode helps understand that it’s just always been that. Love it and will share with the world!!

I'm either listening to podcasts or audiobooks for 2-3 hours a day while walking, driving, and doing stuff in general. History is one of my fav subjects. Listened to the first episode of 2C4H today. Really enjoyed it. They weren't selling anything- no political agenda- and not much time wasted on superficial banter. It was an information packed historical adventure and I look forward to the next episode in 2 weeks.

So excited to hear this first podcast and it was terrific! Loved the host and the guest! I’m not a doctor of anything and nerd of nothing but I loved every bit of this. Honestly, for years now I’ve tried to avoid anything political… ahhh the joys of a drama free life… but even I recognized immediately that descriptions of the past were (sadly) so relevant today. My only negative is a question…do we really have to wait two weeks for the next podcast??? Congratulations on this fantastic project!!!
