I laughed I cried I growled
As a 1.5 generation Korean American, this podcast is a roller coaster of emotions in the best way. First of all, there is no doubt that Eunji and Peter are wildly talented. Their jokes are layered with wit and irony that will make you laugh immediately, pause and reflect, and then laugh again when you realize the second layer of their jokes. Their chemistry (not related and not romantic obviously) is addicting makes me miss my childhood Korean school friends. The traumas that they bring up growing up Korean American are so relatable and
Keeps me laughing on my commute, and sometimes makes me tear up from the comfort of knowing that I wasn’t the only one that went through a similar (loving with good intentions, but sometimes tough) upbringing.
I’m sad that I didn’t get to see them on tour, our schedules and not lineup but next time I will definitely do everything I can’t be there to see them in person!

Best comedy podcast
I don’t know why this podcast isn’t as more wildly listened to! It’s by far my favorite comedian podcast and happy I stumbled upon it

Funny & thoughtful
Eunji and Peter are a dynamic duo of funny & thoughtful people. They each bring a fresh and devilishly hilarious point of view to the comedy world. I’m excited to follow their careers. Also, I love the Chicago lore!

Best Duo ever and representing KTown
Peter and Eunji are the best, I feel like they are my friends since my friends and I talk about this stuff. I love the KBAs, like me! (Korean born American ). Please come to San Diego, we have a group of friends that will ❤️ you guys!
This podcast definitely keeps it real being a Korean born American and how we grew up with generational parenting. Love this podcast so much.

SO FUNNY. Love this podcast!!!
Peter and Eunji are HILARIOUS comics whose back and forth is delightful, surprising, and just so funny. One of my favorite things about this pod is how hard they make each other laugh. Listening in feels like being part of their friendship. Such a treat.

A+ Hosts
Eunji & Peter are amazing hosts serving life updates, organic comedy, and the classic tales as children of immigrants. Not only are their weekly shows engaging and well-balanced banter, their perspective as millennial AAPI creatives has offered a platform for navigating the challenges of that very perspective. As much as it’s a pod for anyone, the space they’ve carved has been so important for me as I’ve moved through the world often unseen by people who live or even understand the queer/AAPI/child-of-an-immigrant journey. Even as a Gen-Z & millennial cusper you’d be shocked how necessary I find cultivating these conversations to be still.
Listen for a laugh and support two cool folks!

Just love these two. It feels like I’m with two friends every week, and I hope it goes on in purpa-too-too. It’s also great from brushing up on vocab! Thanks for all the SAT and words!
Update: I’m still listening and love the hosts, but sound quality is becoming a big issue. Between Peter eating the whole time with the mic picking it up and kid toy noises from Eunji, it’s getting very distracting and hard to continue. If y’all are reading this, please do something.

“Oriental”?
Why’d Eunji have to use the word “oriental” in the latest podcast? I was completely thrown off.

Love this podcast!
I listen to three podcasts mainly and this is one of them. I can count on Peter and Eunji to make me laugh and bring some levity to my day. I love the humor these two bring to subjects that are otherwise “touchy.” Relevant content + hilarious comics. Who could ask for more!

I absolutely love the chemistry you two have as podcaster soulmates. The content is amazing, you’re always making me laugh and think at the same time. You two are awesome! I was struggling after one of my favorite podcast shows ended, shout out Latinos Who Lunch. I stumbled into this podcast on their recommendation and I have not stopped listening since! Just a side note I especially enjoy the family drama as I find myself in similar situations with my Mexican family members. Ay no… Anyways, Thank you for the laughs, thoughts, tea and both of your energies.

Tea worth paying for
Every episode makes me laugh, learn, and feel moved. The exclusive tea on the patreon is delicious. The Ajumma Show usurped the throne of my previous favorite podcast the moment I saw them live. I'm excited that it's coming up on five years since that's when all the really good podcasts blow up. Please keep cackling and yelling in my ears for 50 more! Thank you for sharing your gifts and making a difference. Y'all are KAKs yourselves. KIIIIIIYA!

Hardcore Koreans
These two freaks are representative of all the Korean American mutant children raised here, lurking in every corner of this godforsaken country... Needy, desperate, and willing to say anything for a chuckle. Thank Jesus. Their humor like Kimchee is spicy and fermented with shame and a demented upbringing... Eagerly await each episode with a steaming bowl of instant rice!!

Breaking stereotypes
I’ve listened to the Ajumma Show for almost two years and it’s about time I wrote a review. As a fellow KA, I turn to Eunji and Peter for the snorts of laughter that comes from the comedic insights of fellow cultural insiders. There are so many times when I want to scream, “SAME!!!” as they dish about their experiences.
So, what finally prompted me to write this review? The courage these two have to break stereotypes that hold down Korean Americans and even Asian Americans in general. Yes, they have both chosen a professional pathway as comedians that is a rarity in our community. However, there’s an even more pervasive misconception that most recently dispelled in the latest “Kimchi Power” episode: Asians are good at math.
These two are not good at math. They divided 172,000 by 5,100,000 to conclude that the U.S. has a current Covid-19 death rate of ~30 percent! (It’s actually 3.2 percent.) Eunji even busted out a calculator! Even more incredible is that they just barreled their way through the conversation without stopping to think that maybe a 30% death rate is out the bounds with what we know about this infection.
I don’t bring this up to mock our two hosts. I share it because they truly deserve, like all of us second-gen KAs do, a knuckle knock to the head by the nearest ajumma. As my own Ajumma-in-Chief (umma) would say, “You think you’re so smart because you speak English, but that was really stupid.”
I love their unabashed approach to this podcast. I love their K-rage, their dearth of compassion, their cutting humor, and their fierce devotion to anything Korean. (SAME!!!)

DON’T STOP CACKLING: We Appreciate the Nasality
This show is so good I spent the past 15 minutes trying to figure out how to write a review — which meant that I had to install Apple Podcasts. Worth it? Of course. Anything to keep my favourite Korean-American podcasters creating content.
You often ask, in a meta- kind of way, why we keep listening. I’d posit that it’s because you two are not only so “knee-slapping-pig-snorting-milk-spraying-out-of-the-mouth-during-lunch-time FUNNY” but because you don’t hold back and are so real in what you speak about. Your energy is what I need more of in my life, and in comparison I feel quite sane.
When I was describing the show to someone, I realised I couldn’t really explain what the show was about…Politics? K-Pop standing? Wellness? You really can’t pinpoint it — it’s a show about life. This podcast does for me what Seinfeld has done for so many others; it gives Asian-Americans a sense of feeling seen and heard. Thank you for that.
Please don’t ever stop cackling and remember that your nasality is what keeps us coming back for more. Your podcast is one of the only things keeping me sane throughout quarantine.

Just what I needed
After BLM movement started, I’ve been searching for Korean-Americans who were talking about this and found your podcast. THANK YOU so much!! Love you guys and this podcast! Oh and I love how you guys throw in Korean words here and there. Haha. Feels like I’m hanging with my friends. 👏🏻👏🏻

Keeps me sane
I’m a Vietnamese-Irish-American FOKer and I look forward to the Ajumma Show every week. I listen to a lot of podcasts, some for keeping up with news and some for pleasure. There are weeks where Ajumma Show is the only one I want to listen to — it validates my anger, makes me laugh, and makes me feel less isolated. Love you guys!

So good!
White listener here. This podcast is a hidden gem. Eunji and Peter are equal parts comedians, historians and social justice warriors.
I look forward to every new release. I’ve opted to listen to old episodes instead of make another failed sourdough during quarantine.

Eunji & Peter,
Been a long time listener and I have to say that you two bring so much joy to my life. From history to politics and all the fun gossip in between, thank you for sharing your lives and culture through this great podcast. Hearing you two cackle through my headphones makes me smile every time. Also, yes king spa holds a forever place in my heart ❤️
Thanks for keeping me sane during quarantine!

Omg you guys are amazing!!
I don’t want to admit it (born in 1986), but I am that stereo type Ajumma guys! I love this podcast so much. Peter and Enji are the funniest. Your filthy mouth is just the best. I just don’t even understand how witty and smart you can be on the spot. I will never be able to talk like you guys in million years. I want you guys to post a new pod daily. 7 days is too long to wait. I can’t wait to meet you in person (hopefully). Keep up the good work! Love you!!

Truly an honest and hilarious podcast
I've been trying to write a review for MONTHS! It wasn't until I got on iTunes on a Macbook that I am able to do so. It wasn't easy trying to download their podcasts standing on ant hills to get cell signal but it's worth it!!! Happy to support Eunji and Peter in this way as well as recommending because I can't donate financially now.
I've been listening to the Ajumma Show every week for over a year. Living in a rural village in Sub-Saharan Africa, I never see a Korean face nor eat Korean food. In town people yell "China!" at me and it's so frustrating. But when I listen to the Ajumma Show, I feel like I'm in the room with Eunji and Peter and it's comforting to hear all things Korea! They make me laugh like a crazy person and to always embrace my weirdness! I feel proud to be Korean now more than ever. I now follow KAKs and support the Korean community. Thank you for the laughs and staying in good spirits despite the tough times now Also, please make merch of a jjimjilbang shirt that says "How Dare You" or "Truly".

Hilarious
Hilarious, yet brutally honest POV from a couple of comedians next door. The Ajummas touch on tough topics like race, politics, gender, status all the while keeping it real.

FOK listener here! I am so glad I found this podcast. Even though I’m not Korean, as a POC with immigrant parents, I can still relate to a lot of the cultural topics you guys talk about. Connecting listeners across cultures through shared experiences in this way is a beautiful thing! Also, you guys absolutely KILL me with your humor. The episode where Peter talks about buying a pet stool for alternative purposes (I won’t ruin it for those who may not have heard it )had me laughing hysterically. Please keep the episodes coming and I hope you guys can do a live show in NYC in the future!

the clique-y korean friends I never had!
I was first introduced to this podcast by my friend Sharon (who you attempted to shout out but Peter had admitted the night we met that he would butcher the name, LOL), and I’ve listened religiously ever since. I find the gossip-y nature of two besties very comforting and entertaining while I’m in SF without the luxury of my closest friends/fam. (I also really enjoy the “industry talk” because I don’t hear much about the in’s of the comedy world, let alone with two Asian-Americans!)
The fact I was willing to drive my sister’s stuff all the way to LA from Seattle in time to catch the live show says a lot about how much we appreciate the podcast! You guys are the real deal and EXACTLY what I hoped for IRL, hilarious and really approachable. Our “friend with the good laugh” really got a kick out of your live show too! My sister and I were bummed you didn’t get to meet Sharon cuz you guys all have very similar energy. (CACKLES AND ALL)
My sister and I were dying at the shoutouts, and best believe we told everyone. Unbeknownst to use, our older sister had been listening to your podcast and had NO idea we were the “sisters from Seattle”. She screamed when we told her that about us, as if we had met Hollywood celebrities.
You two manage to switch back and forth between nonsensical riffs and moving, profound insight on the Korean-American culture in a very entertaining way. Thank you for making Korean Americans feel represented and making me literally laugh out loud like an idiot. (Also thank you for making me look smarter, as I always learn a fancy new word that I try to implement into my vocabulary.) I look forward to seeing more of you two live!! ILYSM

I’m the second sister chiming in.
But for real, it was really funny that our unnie was like freaking out about the shootout being about us cuz she had heard it before without even realizing it was in reference to us and was envious, haha.
Please don’t lose your edge and keep talking about anything and everything! You know it’s good when i will LOL IRL while walking by myself outside.
also, i wrote both reviews from my own phone so not sure if both will be submitted, i shall have to check back...

Honeyyyyy
Where to even begin? I am so happy whenever the new ajumma show drops in my podcast feed. It feels like sitting in the backseat of your cool unni and oppa’s car, listening to them talk while they forget that you’re even there. I am here for this queer, woke, konglish-speaking, hilarious duo. I am also so thankful for their thoughtful takes, honesty, and efforts to always bring it back to positivity and bringing more light and love to our world.
But goddamn it Peter Oppa, stop giving away that mandu for free.

Very good, very 쿨
From the first 오모, I knew this show was for me. I consider it my Han support group. It’s hard for a Korean-American hapa like myself to find relatable content out there (aside from Karen O songs), but every single thing Peter and Eunji talk about on this show resonates on so many levels, from tiny fruit forks to Portmeirion plates and every Asian pear in between. Apparently we all had the same Korean mom and went to the same Korean church. Hearing how Peter and Eunji are navigating their careers and comedy is enlightening, and it’s encouraging to know we're on a sort of shared journey together. Next stop on my journey: Being a kickass Korean.

I look forward to this podcast like no other podcasts. The way they laugh is so frighteningly satisfying. The banter is like Seinfeld, they talk about nothing most of the time but it is outrageous at the same time. Love that they close with the hero profiles 👍
