hello darlings welcome to royal clarence now i have a little um information i've changed the title of this podcast from the crafting contest to 60 summers because i want to broaden my reach a bit and share the videos that i i'm uploading for my tv station and really i'm directing i'm hoping for an audience of men and women and not just crafters so i didn't feel the crafting candles was quite broad enough a title so i've changed the title to 60 summers um i'm uploading also an awful lot of videos vlogs each day and they're going straight to the tv show but i will be putting the um the soundtracks to those the spoken word um that go along with the videos onto the podcast which is good news isn't it it means you don't necessarily have to
subscribe because for the videos you do need to pay a subscription it's very cheap but you do need to um i'm really so very excited about this new um this new project it's a totally new project and i'm celebrating being 60 because i'm actually really disappointed with the lack of entertainment that's out there for people like me intellectuals people who've worked very hard but no longer do for various reasons like health or retiring uh you know not everybody does this nine to five thing and you know our kids have left home and where we don't really fall into that category of mainstream anymore because we're mature mature people are not mainstream but we are connected by a common a common um description i suppose for want of a better word we are over 60 or over 50. you know we've come to a time in our lives where we are no longer fooled by these advertisers or the pressures you know you've got to do this you've got to do that you have to wear this you've got to live like this you're you know you're not successful unless you've got this big house it doesn't wash anymore does it because
those sort of things those sort of social um pressures really only work when you've got kids i think that's the time most of us feel disappointed by what we do and what we can provide but actually when it comes down to providing for ourselves our standards are quite different i i think i'm right in saying that most of us feel like that i don't care about big houses anymore i would like a car mind you but i you know i don't um i know that's a lie i do hanker after a little sports car that's a complete life but i don't need a a big car that i can fit a family into put it that way my needs are and my desires are very very different now and you know we talk of desires what about sex we're not governed by sex anymore we don't go out of an evening and think
tonight will not be successful if i don't get laid but i remember thinking that for years and years i felt like that my my measure of being a successful woman was if i got laid we don't have that anymore yes we like attention of course we like attention and of course he wants to look fabulous and of course...
