hello darlings welcome to royal clarence well the photo shoot is done and it was really exciting actually to kind of be drawn back into that world you know for when i ran the arts club we had a lot of fashion events actually um i didn't make anything in those days i was just you know i just provided the venue really and and perhaps put helped put together some sort of event they're very extravagant but very um uh alternative you know that sort of underground or arty thing um that people talk about 20 years after but at the time it was just hell and i think it's very very difficult isn't it when you're putting on events or or yesterday you know stitching and saying and stressing about is that bit okay and is that but not okay and then you've got the
lights on your product and i'm thinking oh i don't know if i like that well that isn't good enough now i didn't use a model but i'm going to i will do some modeling um soon but i just need to rest actually from photography it's um it's really not my bag photographers they're really really good at you know photography i suppose that's it i'm not very good at it i'm great at a selfie and i'm great at the concept you know this sort of radical conceptual art or documentary i really like documentary actually and anyway i did take a couple of photos on my phone and i've put them up on the blog so you can just have a little pre look but i think product photography is really really difficult it was so hard and you know i guess people who make
who chefs who do food photography you know it's the same thing that beans in the wrong place just he's just the devil in the detail and it was so stressful so all day i you know i sewed a bloody bra strap on backwards i mean how did that happen i mean i saw it before i before the photo shoot so that was okay i had to you know write up until i put everything in the bags to take then i had to you know be really careful about the bras you know one of the bras has got love in christmas decorations written across it so these aren't bra bras these are bras these are theatrical they're very theatrical and i guess theatrical fashion you know it's a genre isn't it it's a bloody genre so um i did find it really really difficult to not be well just to not feel stressed i suppose that's it i was very anxious and then i sort of i put the mannequin in a laundry bag
and my all the other stuff in the panniers on the bicycle because i'm an eco cyclist i wasn't gonna get a taxi i wish i had actually and then i it was dark when i cycled back and i'd forgotten to put my lights on my bike um so by the time i got in it was only about half past nine but the day had started at you know seven o'clock that morning just getting everything ready and you know when you're i suppose it's your thing isn't it and you become a bit of a perfectionist um so i'm not going to i won't lie i'm not going to say i enjoyed yesterday but of course the the pleasure will be in the photographs when i eventually see them so um you know in that i suppose you need to step away when you have a very stressful day like that you can't see the wood for the trees anymore and this is what um promotion and marketing and
product design and launching you know that's what all those things are about and it you know from whatever you're doing if you're you know my mum knits tea cozies and blankets and she'll have the exactly the same thing you know when she knits a blanket all these crafters and people that they're so invested incredibly invested in the peace that they've made and created and you know never assume that somebody's work it is not of great value to them and that their investment in it their emotional investment and then the ta-da look what i've made you know never assume that that's any less than you know paris...
