Amazing podcast!!!

Love listening to this podcast and love the variety of guest speakers! Great conversations about how being a Muslim and Islam applies to various crafts within the art world. This podcast addresses the many expressions of mass creative arts that make reference to Islam and being a Muslim. It’s so interesting listening to various artists/creatives and how their work is able to transcend their own Islamic roots reflecting their unique perspective.

I feel like there’s so many different kinds of podcasts out there that focus on the Muslim American experience but this one specifically captures the conversation about Islam and how it relates to/ finds itself in so many aspects of entertainment, activism and our professional lives. Whether it be Hollywood, fashion, art or the importance of uplifting black voices in the Muslim communities- they hit the nail on the head. I feel like i find myself enjoying and and consuming art and content and participating in fashion and creative arts as if it’s exclusive from Islam, when in fact Islam plays a huge role in these parts of our lives. I never thought I’d be incorporating my god consciousness in a sneaker purchase, but here i am contemplating how i can’t do one without the other. Super excited to see/ hear more from this pod.
