Love the enthusiasm for our city
As a Chicagoan for half my life, I’m proud of the city I live in and call home. Dario and Sara bring a Chicago-centric enthusiasm that is contagious. No one else is bringing an energy and love for this city in a podcast and brand packaged in this manner. Whether or not you’re a Chicagoan, you’ll learn something and have a blast along the way listening to this podcast.

Fabulous podcast
I loved hearing about Chicago’s importance to bring pianos to the common people. I had no idea how important Chicago was to the piano industry. ❤️

Oh no! I love this podcast but I’m getting a playback error. I cannot listen to any new episodes. Is anyone else having this problem?

Chicago
This is what a podcast should be. They are outside! Go to the locations in person and talk about it. Amazing!!!!!!

Really laughing out loud all the time
Don’t play this show in front of your kids lbvs! So informative and I definitely try to visit some of the historical places and try some of the restaurants that I’ve heard about from the podcast.

Whether you’re from Chicago or not, LISTEN!
Funny, informative, real, and delicious! Sara and Dario share a lot of things I didn’t know about Chicago—and I’ve lived in this city the majority of my life. Whether you live in Chicago or would like to visit, they cover interesting tidbits about the city’s history and uncover the city’s hidden (and not so hidden) restaurant gems.

Need more variety of restaurants/food
I really like the hosts and their earnestness. Their history segments are good and I really like the guests they bring on. My only complaint is they tend to only review hamburger joints, pizza places, etc. I think Sarah would like to broaden the scope of cuisines but Dario has a limited palate. Come in Dario please explore some different foods!

Best Chicago podcast period
I have absolutely fallen in love with this podcast. You get everything you could want from a podcast. You will laugh, you will learn, and you will find some hidden gems on where to eat. No stone goes unturned, and no joke is missed. Love what you guys are doing keep up the good work!!!

Lacks content
Idea is fantastic. Hosts clearly like each other and have fun, but don’t seem to know much about the history or evolution of the neighborhood and what makes it special. It is like a middle school book that was done at the last minute. Superficial and disappointing.

Great concept- terrible execution
Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods are rich with tradition, history, and great food. The concept behind this podcast is a great idea- but this unprofessional, unprepared, uninteresting podcast is not up to the challenge. It could Chicago’s answer to Evan Kleinman’s Good Food podcast. Instead, it feels more like a 6th grader’s recital of a book report they wrote 5 minutes before class. Loud, annoying and almost completely lacking in insight into the neighborhoods they purport to cover. Chicago deserves better

Koz park
Koz key yes co. Lol I just found this and I’m bingeing it. I’m learning things and laughing. Dam I love Nookies! Also you don’t get to put a plug in and claim a common outlet. Lol everyone pays the electric bill. You couldn’t claim it without the adapter and you can’t claim it with. Most old apartments don’t have enough outlets

A food podcast by picky eaters.
This is a Chicago history podcast. I’ve only been able to get through portions of 2 episodes. Here are some highlights: Italian beef is made from beef soaked in water, there is no such thing as a food an wine pairing, and the restaurants are good.

Love these two!
I binged this podcast on a recent road trip and I am LOVING it! I’m learning so much about Chicago and cracking up the whole time. Definitely check this podcast out!

Inspired to explore
My new favorite podcast! The hosts are hilarious. They seem like the kind of guests you’d want to explore chicago with. Can’t wait to hear about further adventures.

I enjoyed the banter
Listened to episode 1. Only 3 stars this week, but I’ll keep listening and hope for more stars in future podcasts. I was expecting them both to be really into food. She’s a chef so she did a nice job of explaining the menu, and describing the choices she made. He (supposedly the comedian) was making fun of the food and the menu. For example - The menu should be in English - this is America. Really guys?

Get to the point
I saw the feature article in the Trib regarding this podcast and decided to give it a listen. The premise is outstanding. But the execution is poor. Episode 3, for example, discusses very little about Beverly to start. If it takes you more than ten minutes to provide any meaningful review, then I’m done giving my attention.

Amazingly entertaining
What an absolutely insightful and interesting podcast! Definitely recommend to anyone who loves food, culture, and comedy!!!!!

Very entertaining!
This is a great podcast. I love learning about new spots in the city and these two put a hilarious spin on it! Their personalities, while very different, compliment each other perfectly. The show offers something for everyone… :)

Live the banter
This couple really connects with each other and it adds humor to the podcast. My only issue is that they need to check their facts regarding buildings and history. For example Mrs O’Leary’s cow did NOT start the Chicago fire. That often said story was a racist (anti Irish) and anti woman rumor started in the media after the fire which destroyed her business. But it’s a very lighthearted podcast that I will follow. Cafecito review sparked my interest to try it out as I live very close and didn’t even know it had food.
