Response to your inquiry
I’ve only listened to the 1st three episodes so far. I appreciate what you’re doing here. I am currently looking at over 300 years even though the charges are likely to be dropped because they are silly on their face. It still causes me and my family stress and this shouldn’t be happening to me or anyone else.

Amazing informative
This podcast gave so much information and understanding in the criminal justice system. I love mostly how the host , treated each story with delicacy.
Love amour
One sided
Great reporting and information but extremely one sided. Would love to see the attention and effort put in to see the full picture on both sides of the issues so everyone can learn through different perspectives.

More far-left propaganda
Why does “criminal justice reform” always boil down to turning the criminal into the victim? It’s actually very simple….don’t break the law and you have zero chances of going to prison. Black and brown men aren’t being targeted. This has been thoroughly debunked time and time again. The statistics just do not back up this narrative. The creators of this podcasts are run of the mill race hustlers. Period

An Excellent & Very Necessary Production
I’ve cried at some of the stories and inhumanity experienced by many of the folks featured in the episodes. I’ve also been heartened by the efforts made bybvarious reformers and crusaders also being covered. May they prevail!

Bail podcast
I agree with the majority of the points made in this podcast. However, when someone is accused of vehicular manslaughter - a 19 yr old dies in a burning car because of this situation - I don’t think it’s unnecessary to require a substantial amount of bail so the defendant doesn’t flee.
This is a tragedy for both families involved. I hate how the mother with the 3 kids has to suffer for two years while she waits for the trial. I don’t understand why she keeps putting $ in his jail account. I hope I would pay my bills & support my children instead of giving $ to the adult in jail.
She is a victim too but let’s not forget the 19 yr old who lost their life & the family who’s mourning. What a horrific death, my God.
Let’s adjust bail for non-violent crimes, not vehicular manslaughter & any other violent crimes.

Keep History Alive...
...no matter how ugly and dark it is. Love this podcast because it pulls back the curtain on TRUE American history. Keep the episodes coming. Keep our history alive.

Great Reporting
I think the 70 Million team does an incredible job of bringing together multiple stakeholders to tell the full story of a given topic. I’ve learned a lot from listening even though the subjects can be sobering. Thanks for great reporting.
Et c'est parti.
LifeotheOutside
This podcast shines a light on one of the darkest realities of our country - the criminal justice system. Thank you 70 million for helping us listen to, imagine, and feel the impact, one story at a time.

A much needed podcast for a critical historical moment
We are all 70 Million, and I can't wait for this podcast. There is so much good stuff going on here, open-sourced, compelling audio starting with the local jail and bringing it to national conversation. A beautiful host voice. Proud of what the team at Lantiqua Williams & Co are doing, and looking forward to hearing how this series unfolds.
