Friends, I am so sorry to be away from you. I am still in the heart of West Virginia. I have met so many that want to spread the light of our lord and fight the darkness. I spent Labor Day weekend with a lovely family who blessed me with hospitality and light. But, I am afraid that even with the abundance of light, darkness has made it's way to us. Those who have foresaken our lord have taken to the streets with violence, theft and debauchery. We must fight the urge to abandon the light of our lord in favor of the darkness. Friends, I have a confession to make. I have been weak. For the last few weeks, I have failed God's many tests because I know that once I start this journey, I will be forced to face my greatest fear - the darkness. Day after day, I have used life's let little things as excuses to stay put, even though I know I must follow the path God has chosen for me. I spent all day in solitude, praying that God forgive me, and to give me the strength to do what I must do. Now, not only has God given me the strength I need, but a new, bolder path. There are those among us who would have you believe there must be a balance of good and evil, but we must remember what is true, and not be swayed by the false prophets who mix lies with the truth. Since the fire, I've spent the last several days in prayer asking God for the path forward, and my prayers have been answered and I now know what I must do. Though my dreams, God has shown me Wally Fitch's face through the flames. It was Wally Fitch who brought the flames of Hell to our ministry. When one plays with the darkness, we all get burned by it's flames. With no church, I'll be taking my sermons on the road, building an army to fight Wally Fitch and his investigation into the Book of Darkness. Friends, the horned head of darkness is slipping into our lives. We cannot let ourselves be swayed by Evil posing as leaders or as holy men. Friends, I have some sad news to report. Late last night our beloved 150 year old church burned to the ground. We are grateful to the Lord that no one was hurt.
