Great Podcast
This is such a wonderful service that teaches the history of the present so that we know why things are the way they are. It is easy to take some of the rights and privileges for granted when we don't know how we got here but 60-seconds civics help correct that. This is a very NECESSARY podcast. Thank you Center for Civic Education and Mark Gage for doing this well.

I’m excited
So much packed into 60 seconds. I love our nation, and am blessed to teach Civics this year!

Awesome!
Great job taking the subject matter and delivering it in a short format that can be used as an opening segment for each class period.

Intro and exit still too long!
I just found this podcast and am disappointed to see that somebody brought this to your attention two years ago and had no impact on your production choice. I like the info. I can't use the podcast in its current form with so much of the minute allotted to fluff. Consider fixing it. Thanks for your efforts.

1 minute doses to review your civics class
Feeling that many Americans really do not know/remember their civics, I started listening to this podcast so I would not be one of them. I tried to get my kids to listen, but one may need to have had a high school level civics class in order to grasp these tidbits in a bigger picture. Without the bigger picture, the tidbits remain factoids that are not necessarily helpful or leading to understanding.
So, for anybody with at least a high school civics class under their belt, these 1 minute podcasts are a great review. As I said, most Americans don't remember their civics, as illustrated by statements made in the media and public by politicians, media pundits, in churches, in public throughout the country. I highly recommend this podcast, whether you are really interested or not. You will be a better U.S. citizen because of it.

Short, sweet, and to the point
This is one of the easiest podcasts to listen to, since it only runs for about a minute, as the title implies. Each episode gives a quick overview of a certain topic without bogging you down with too much info. Not for people looking for in-depth discussions of civic matters and history lessons.

Nice info, but intro and exit are too long!
These are nice snippets of civic learning. My only complaint is that there is too much fluff. Of a typical 1:15 podcast 40 seconds is fluff (music, what the topic of the next one, the speaker introducing herself, etc.) When I listen to several in a row on a playlist it's annoying to have to wait through 30 seconds of closing comments for the next one to start. They should really trim it down.

Great
These are nice, short lessons for anyone, especially high schoolers. It may be over the head of middle school students, but it couldn't hurt to try.

Great idea! The snippet of information is perfect for a quick lesson. As a middle school teacher, this podcast might be a little over my students' heads, but I could see it being very useful in high school, college, or for people studying for a citizenship test.
