This is Radiolab for cat lovers. I thought I knew everything about cats. How wrong I was! 6 Degrees of Cats has taught me so much useful information both for cat care and cat culture that I apply all the time—at least weekly, now that I listened to the episode about Vikings and Norse mythology and learned about Freya’s Day. Ailurophiles, rejoice! And the host and her meownagers are charming.

I started listening to this podcast while I was bored at the gym and it never disappoints! I adore cats and it’s so fun to learn more about them & topics through the lens of cats. I’m super enjoying the show overall and look forward to more episodes. Thanks for pulling it together!

Listening to 6 degrees has been educational, thought-provoking, meditative AND fun. The podcast does celebrate the under-dog (pun intnded) and under-sung hero of the human companion world, but most importantly offers interesting insight into how both terrestrial and stellar history of humanity relates to these creatures. Captain Kitty’s insights into how this plays into our accepted perceptions of the headier human issues of safety, love and motherhood, to name a few, offers more than just facts to regurgitate, additionally meditations on our lives. All the while she keeps me smiling by telling the story through her ernest capitulation to her closest felines and co-hosts, Binky and Snuggles. Highly recommended.

I was a bit skeptical at first as I’m a far cry from being considered a “cat person” but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed learning about the historical significance of felines. Amanda B obviously has a passion and it comes through in each episode. Highly recommend for cat and non-cat lovers alike!
