Mum's Tennis Friends:Live at The Bearded Lady, West End, 19 January 2020Mum’s Tennis Friends is a project comprised of members of Dopamine, Harry Wall and Eliza & The Delusionals. The band formed in mid-2018, when lead singer Ruby Lee deferred university and was looking to create a new project different to her usual bass-playing gigs. This set you're about to hear was from a bushfire benefit at The Bearded Lady that raised over $1000 for the Animal Rescue Collective and the Red Cross, and was originally supposed to be the band's last.Ruby Lee also plays bass in Eliza & The Delusionals, who had an extensive tour of the United States booked from February to May. When the COVID-19 pandemic shut down music venues across America in March, the tour was cut short. Lee has since regrouped and redefined Mum's Tennis Friends as a recording project and a new single is expected to be released within the next few weeks.Recorded by Nell Forster & Sam KellyMixed by Finn DigglesShow production, engineering and host: Scott MercerOriginally aired via Zed Digital, 7-8pm, Sunday 19 April, 2020
