Gentle Ben And His Sensitive Side:Known for his work as half of the two headed screaming beast that is the iconic Brisbane band Six Ft Hick, Ben Corbett demonstrates his ability to produce the polar opposite in his side project. Originally teaming up with Nick Naughton from fellow Brisbane group Skippy Showband to play country covers, it wasn’t long before they began crafting their own songs inspired by the likes of Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, and Burt Bacharach. Ben Corbett himself describes the songs as “a rock and roll country combo. Like bacon and maple syrup, it shouldn’t work but it does”.
