Read the codex BEFORE getting on the mic
I like y’all’s content, I was just let down that you put up a review with your first read through, specifically the sisters review. You skipped over major points, and it just felt like a waste of time. At least do your homework and read the codex before you record an episode.

Sound balancing issues
I love the content but the poor sound balancing has gotten to the point where I can’t get through an episode. Someone needs to go through and listen to the episodes before they get published because the guests are often way too quiet relative to the hosts and there’s way too big a gap between the quietest portions where someone is talking away from the mic and the very frequent booms of suddenly loud speaking. The jazz music is a cute idea but is played way too loud relative to the content and for too long. The content is genuinely amazing but it feels like I have to live on the sound buttons and even when I’m closely paying close attention I don’t think I’ve ever gotten through an episode without my ears get blown out at some point. The juice unfortunately just isn’t worth the squeeze.

This is great and the delivery is concise, man they have velvety smooth voice…. I find this very rare with 40k podcast. Thanks for all your effort!

Great High Level Competitive Podcast.
Someone recommended this pod to me and I couldn’t be happier. 40K Fireside is a great discussion about high level play without the bro speak, dithering about personal lives and other things that bog down other pods in the 40K space. I really enjoy the analysis of games played and list building theory and it really illuminates what high level 40K is about. I’ve been looking for something to replace the niche 11th Company podcast filled when it ended. Looking forward to your analysis in the future especially with 10th edition looming.

Refreshing Take on Competitive Play
Fireside is new to the hobby game but you can’t argue with the expertise of the hosts and their refreshing perspective on competitive play. If you like competitive play but hate jazz the talking is still worth sitting through the music by a wide margin.
