These episodes are short which is nice but why are there 2 mins of ads in a 6min episode.

Some of the information is false, some of it sounds like it’s being read from a Google search.

Sure you get maybe 2 minutes of useful information after you’ve heard “to learn more go to the pregnancy podcast website” at least 5-10 times. There are more informative podcasts out there.

Wow! Thanks for making a podcast to explain pregnancy and labor to straight women. I’m sure there aren’t a lot of those out there… Using the word “partner “and then proceeding to talk about husbands and penises is not inclusive.

Hopped on to listen to my week 5 update! I’m elated to be pregnant after a tough IVF journey. Within a minute into the podcast she talks about high miscarriage rates in early pregnancy. I think women worry about that on our own? Just didn’t sit right with me and immediately turned it off.

I’ve listened to several episodes, they all have a very long intro and wrap up that is just an ad for the website so the actual material is only about 3 minutes long. Don’t waste your time.

Each episode is around 5 minutes and the first 50 seconds is the same intro about the podcast and the last 60 seconds is the same outro for every podcast episode. So it sounds very redundant and there’s only about 3 minutes of info, which includes a 30-second tip for the dad-to-be. This episode format is annoying and wasting time that could be filled with more detailed info rather than just superficial facts.

Great podcast for a short and sweet but informative weekly update about your baby & your pregnancy.

There’s nothing bad to say about this podcast. For everyone complaining about her voice, clearly your hormones are really outta whack and causing you to attack an innocent woman for no reason. Her voice is fine and the content is great :)

It’s like Kim Kardashian is reading me a pregnancy brochure.

I don’t. Know. Why. Someone. With. A. Halting. Jarring. Speaking. Style. Thought. Podcasting. Was. The. Job. For. Her. Some of the content is ok but she’s just awful to listen to. Lady—you’re also spitting into the microphone and we can hear it. Not worth it.

I was looking for a bite-sized podcast that told me objective facts about what was happening during my pregnancy, instead of opining about what I should or should not be doing as a parent-to-be. This podcast delivers. Also, for what it’s worth, my partner, who is an OB-gyn, sometimes listens with me, and he says that all the facts and advice he’s heard seem right. Thanks for making an informative show!

I’m enjoying this overall; I think I’m going to stop listening because I’m tired of hearing instructions for ‘husbands’ and ‘guys’ - ‘partner’ language would make this podcast a million times better. Some pregnant women have girlfriends and wives.

Extremely short, not helpful episodes that sound like she’s reading directly from What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Over-enunciation and pronunciation of certain words is obnoxious and distracting (the way she pronounces “women” in particular - which she says a lot - is so weird).

Thank you for taking the time to add value to my life while I’ve been pregnant! I’ve learned so much and love this resource!

Vanessa both your podcasts are amazing! I can always trust your advice and it’s clear you have certainly done research for each topic you present on. My doctors are amazed at how knowledgeable I am! I owe that to you! And usually what I quote from you is spot on with the advice I’ve been given from the docs! When I first came to your page I was having insurance issues and your podcast decreased my worries and gave me so many options. I also learned about birthing centers vs hospitals and I found an amazing birthing center which I absolutely love! Thank you for making your knowledge available and staying consistent with posts. There are many podcasts and platforms but I find that your info is always fresh and new! Which just makes things better for making quality decisions! I would love to listen to this podcast but the speakers voice is so awful. Robotic and cali girl. Ugh... I just can't.

How could it get better than this? This podcast offers medically sound, research-based information in a non-judgmental fashion that focuses on allowing expectant mothers to make well-informed decisions. I cannot say how grateful I am as a soon-to-be mom who works 60 hours a week to have the opportunity to listen to these podcasts on the way to work or during down time. They are informative, memorable, and encouraging.

I liked how she gave great overall information but there was lack of detailed information. If you want more details you have to go to their website and read which kinda defeats the purpose of listening to the podcast. I personally disliked the vocal fry that a lot of the presenters exhibited along with the valley girl accent. I couldn't stand it and deleted all the episodes I downloaded after a few tries.

Very helpful podcast, informative and non-judgmental. Vanessa does a lot of the work for us and presents the information in a clear manner.

I've been listening to Vanessa for quite a while now (even before I knew I was pregnant!) and she has offered such great advice, new ideas and research, and overall interesting topics in regards to pregnancy. She is very quick to respond to emails and is such an awesome person to do *a lot* of the research for us (thank you for that Vanessa! I know that can be quite a time investment!). I cannot recommended her show enough!
