I start and end my day with this podcast. It has absolutely helped me in my Bible study journey. God is working through this podcast to bring about a better understanding of the love He has for us and his only Son. Praise be to Jesus Christ for taking our sins and dying on the cross for us so we could be forgiven. Amen

I use 40 Minutes in the Old Testament or 30 minutes in the New Testament for my morning Bible study. There is so much knowledge from Chad and I love Dan’s stories! To God be the glory for this wonderful podcast! Thank you guys for following your callings to do this, I know it probably wasn’t easy getting started but it sure has blessed many, including me!

These guys are absolutely fantastic! I’ve learned so much. Chad and Daniel are so witty and a delight to listen to.

Chad and Daniel have been such a blessing to me in my mornings while I work or drive. They break down the segments of the Bible in ways I’ve never thought of and in ways where I can understand it better. They also make me chuckle what they’re very low-key theological jokes. (should definitely get more credit tbh) These two gentlemen are great examples of godly men with dignity. So thankful for them and I hope they continue to do 40 minute podcasts!

I love 40 Minutes in the Old Testament. The teaching is thoughtful, faithful, and enriching. It’s rooted in Scripture while offering insights that clarify my understanding. I look forward to each episode.

This is such a great podcast! I am listening to episode 357, and at the beginning you mentioned how long it took for Ezra and his group to get to Jerusalem. You said that it seemed extra slow. But maybe you didn’t take into account of the Sabbath days. There would’ve been 16 of them, and they probably didn’t travel those days. What do you think?

I am so grateful for having been led to listen to these podcasts, beginning in Genesis. I never imagined how enriching studying the Old Testament in depth would be.

Too much of Dan’s musings and not enough of Isaiah with Chad.

I started learning Hebrew and went looking for scholars to help me out and I found Chad Bird. Then I began listening to this podcast and realized I needed and wanted to start in Genesis. I am currently ion episode 159 and I enjoy listening. I listen while I am cleaning, driving, and whenever I have time. What a great and rich way to explore the Old Testament. I am a history nerd and love learning about what was and why. Love how Chad brings in the Hebrew language. Love Chad and Daniel’s straightforward way of teaching us about Jesus and how we fall so often but we are redeemed by our LORD and Savior Jesus. I have always wished more pastors would tie the OT with the NT because it always points to Jesus if we look hard enough. Thank you gentlemen for sharing your knowledge and time to bring me closer to Jesus.

So glad, I found this podcast. I’ve listened to many Bible study podcasts and was disappointed. This is by far the most educational and biblically sound podcast you will find.

Host has no discipline of his tongue. He cannot ask a simple question for trying to make 17 statements as part of that question. Very irritating to listen to. Podcast hosts should always keep in mind their listeners.

Chad and Dan are blessings upon blessings. Chad brings the Hebrew and Dan brings his thoughtful insights. Together they mash the old testament into a picture in my head. I can't say enough good things about these men who dedicate their time to teaching unlike any I've heard before. Plus their books are a amazing as well. Keep up the great work!

From episode 1 I’ve been blessed by some great insights. Chad Bird really brings the text to life.

Who knew Leviticus could be so interesting! I love following along with the transcript while I listen and how it tracks with each paragraph so I can skip ahead easily if my reading is faster than my listening. So cool! Just switched to an iPhone after years of Android and I’m loving it. I have a hard time listening to podcasts with this much depth otherwise.

Goes deep and helps connect all of scripture.

Gives me a better understanding of the the Old Testament. They show the thread running through The Old Testament to the New.

I love how down to earth they are and every episode explains how the OT points to Jesus.

The hosts do a very good job of giving you the full picture. I know when reading the Bible there are different places where a phrase or subject doesn’t make sense and this podcast is really good about explaining a lot of the little nuances that often get overlooked or skimmed over, but are actually very significant to see the full scope of what is happening. Great podcast!

Chad and Daniel go verse by verse through each book of the Old Testament and show how everything points to Christ and His work of salvation for us. I have had several classes on the Old Testament and none of them provided the depth of knowledge and Christ centeredness that is conveyed in this podcast. Highly recommended for any student of the Bible.

Chad and Dan are great at bringing context; in relation to the time, customs, and translation of scripture in different languages; to give you a very detailed and comprehensive understanding to scripture. They don’t read scripture or interpret it so much as tell the story based upon its meaning. I’ve been hooked on this podcast for over a year and listen to it on my morning commutes which are almost an hour. They also do a wonderful job of showing where Jesus fits in and appears in the Old Testament. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Hands down the best and most influential podcast I’ve ever listened to. I’ve listened to every episode at least once, and many multiple times, including the “lost episode” before it was lost and are recorded! Let the OT come alive with the breath of Christ in every episode! So thankful for Chad and Daniel!

I've spent more time in this podcast than any other, it helps so much to get the ancient context from a Hebrew scholar.

I work ten hour days 5 days a week and this podcast is amazing for keeping my mind occupied along with my hands. It’s great to learn about the Old Testament in a Christ-centered manner through audio. Keep up the great work Daniel and Chad!

This is such a great podcast to listen to. It’s opening my eyes and understanding to a deeper understanding of the types and shadows of Jesus in the Old Testament. You guys should consider writing a Types and Shadows study Bible. It’s awesome stuff.

The episodes are great to listen and learn various components of the old languages. There is so much to learn in many of God’s narratives, this does help to link things together throughout the scriptures. Sometimes I have to pause and meditate on the thoughts for a while just because the richness is wonderful to savor! One episode was so wonderful I listened to it several times over! I learned about this podcast from Mr. Chad Bird’s book The Christ Key which is phenomenal too!

Thank you for sharing your study of the scriptures, and sharing in such a good, fun, responsible way! We all need to learn about the tools of reading the Bible, and how to use them well. Thank you!
