Get your fix with 3d6
This is actual play awesomeness. Jon and crew are fun and engaging, delivering pure ttrpg gold one episode after another. Listening to 3d6 DTL is guaranteed to make you better at the table or at least more entertaining :).

Do yourself a favor and just download them all right now
The guys produce top-notch content, consistently, with care. The focus is on real people actually playing RPGs, which is what the show consistently delivers. The key for me, though is the fact that while these guys have a game that is a lot like my weekly game, it is also aspirational in terms of the quality of the play for all involved. These aren’t performers, they are gamers, and anyone who is interested in old school style RPGs will get so much out of this show. The discord is an amazing community as well. All the stars

An ACTUAL Actual Play
Are you looking for an Actual Play podcast where the participants ACTUALLY play? This is the show for you.
On so many other shows the emphasis is squarely on performance. They’re usually a would-be drama or a table of comedians loosely using the structure of the game to entertain.
Not so with 3D6 Down the Line! Jon and company present a podcast that is a genuine group of long-time friends playing the game almost exactly as they would if they weren’t recording. Editing is light, but the sound quality is excellent. Though there are high production values, you don’t FEEL like you’re listening to a production. Rather, you feel like you’re a fly on the wall of Jon’s game room, listening in.
This show is THE gold standard for OSR actual play podcasts, and I’d argue it’s the best actual play in RPGs regardless of style of game.
I’m a diehard fan and I strongly advise anyone interested in RPGs to give a listen!

Criminally Underrated
I have very few opportunities to play TTRPGs these days, so getting to be a fly on the wall for this crew’s sessions is a delight. Through them I feel that I too have plumbed the depths of Arden Vul and tramped through the forests of Dolmenwood. 🥲

One of the good ones.
If I actually had time to play TTRPGs, these are the games I’d play and the grumpy middle age guys I’d play them with.

Excellent window to Adventure Gaming
These guys are doing the Lord’s work showing how much fun procedural play can be. It feels like being at the table so much that I find myself trying to make suggestions for what to do next.

Good example of OSR play
Sometimes a little slow, but that’s in service to its nature as a game which is changed as little as possible by being a podcast.

Old School Role Playing at its best
The AV club and Jon do such a great job! I could listen to them play all day long.

Just what I wanted
What a show. Old school with solid role playing and occasional funny sidebars. Your character can die (and they do). Your character can run/skulk/ hide to live and that happens also. Monsters can be be powerful and the characters have to adapt. Wishing I was a part of this group….

Great OSR Content
I found these guys on YouTube and I cannot get enough of their content! The chemistry is great and the play is more true to form than all the high production stuff. If you want to enjoy genuine TTRPG OSR content then give them a watch or listen!

Great OSR Gameplay
I found these guys on YouTube a while back and just now discovered the podcast feed. you won’t find performance art here just a bunch of guys gaming and having a good time. I'd rate it 6 stars if I could.

The best actual play podcast, actually.
A deeply skilled DM, thoughtful and experienced players, interesting and unusual content you won’t see played on 400 other podcasts, house rules and other content shared in the background for those who want to follow along and learn. All infused with a sense of humor and the feeling that you’re just sitting in on a game, not spectating a performance.
