Too much chit chat, not enough stories

I recently was dumped and kicked out by my boyfriend. On the last day be hit me and hurt me pretty bad. I moved out of state to feel safe. I listen to your podcast while I write and ask chat gpt copious amount of questions. I listened to you guys when I got divorced, and I listened to you guys when my marriage was rough. Through all of it, I’ve felt so grounded because of you guys.

Another one of those podcasts where a group of the most boring guys of all time that listened to too many comedy podcasts and convinced themselves they could do it too. If you want to waste 30-60 minutes listening to stories about nothing this is the podcast for you

These guys are the best!! I always look forward to their podcast. The friendship they have shines thru during their show. I find myself laughing along with them and saying fuuuuuu during the scary moments with them as well. I feel like I know them and enjoy every time I’m notified a new show has dropped. They tell stories so eloquently that you can actually see what they are describing. I would give it 10 stars if I could 1/20/25- miss these guys so much. I’ve been a day 1 and their banter before the stories got me thru some tough times with my dad passing. The laughs I got made me forget for a bit what I lost. I look to see updates hoping I hear from my guys soon. Love you DeeJay, Charlie and Sean!!!

Prime example as to why you shouldn’t donate money to new podcasts. They don’t last, I’m glad I never listened to the constant pan handling.

3am will always be one of my favorite podcasts! 3am started with a group of guys that created this podcast as a hobby. I’ve enjoyed listening to their banter and spooky stories… especially the utah stories! Yes, there haven’t been recent episodes in a while but that doesn’t stop me from listening to older episodes. So happy this group of friends decided to put themselves out there for our entertainment ☺️

This was actually my thought too and it made my brain hurt a bit when it came out that it wasn’t the right word to say it but I think it’s the wrong thing for the right thing for the correct answer to the question and I think it was the wrong thing

3 AM is the best scary stories podcast I have ever heard of! I love their stories, I listen to them all the time! I stumbled across the podcast 2 years ago and I love the stories! I really miss them when they leave. I’m not mad that they do, I know they have there own lives with the new baby and jobs it’s a lot to juggle. I just hope they don’t stress out over it and come back when they can.

This has become my favorite podcasts but I think you guys missed your shot. As soon as the pod was getting more traction, you guys vanished. I know it’s because of Charlie’s new job and the baby, which I get it. Just unfortunate bc this was the exact time to pop off. I remember Charlie saying in an episode he just wants to made episodes and make money from podcasting — this would be “the dream”. Think that was maybe possible before but now not so much.

I think this one is done. New episodes have trickled from rare to nonexistent. RIP to a good idea that has run its course.

No offense but I don’t care about what movies u saw or what city u visited, or really anything happening in your lives. Would be a great show if u just told stories.

Of course with any podcast you listen to you should understand that they also have a career in something they do. But I don’t want to feeeel that fact so viscerally like I do with this podcast. It just felt like directionless rambling and begrudging participation. Eventually they warm up and open up but it sounds like they just don’t really care about doing this and maybe they’re trying to provide this content for the people that have followed them for a long time but twenty minutes in and I’ve heard way too much about their grandpas and how “fate” gave them a golf ball and how that’s so crazy because their grandfather retired on a golf course. A fourth of the way in you begin to wonder where this is going or if they have anything actually planned. The answer to that is actually no they don’t. And plenty of podcasts tend to do that when the banter is funny or interesting. However this isn’t one of those instances. This is just listening to a mundane conversation between friends who keep forgetting they have a podcast they do. There’s definitely nothing wrong with ending a podcast. If I ever met them I would probably tell them that

It’s a paranormal podcast that only sticks to Mormon friendly topics which makes it pretty boring tbh. Lots of spirits & ghosts but nothing that could be remotely scientifically possible like UFOs or aliens.

Loved listening to you guys and your storytelling but felt that my time was being wasted with your Patreon teasers mid story. What a bummer.

I just discovered these guys and I love them! They are very authentic and feels like you’re listening to old friends talk! I watch them all day at work and they keep such good vibes❤️

Nonstop rambling! Nothing really of paranormal content, nothing of value even when they’re off topic, sound quality is very inconsistent, you’re just the lap dog listening in on their boring conversations.

So I’ve listened to yuall for about a year and a half I’m gonna leave some real stuff here but for the snowflakes I’ll start with this so I know they won’t read past it DJ is yualls little friend who’s all feelings and nothing else. He can’t talk about anything without getting in his feels and being instantly transformed into whatever culture he’s talking about. Next in the episode that Charlie talked about the monkey demon. If you knew anything about the Bible there is not one place where it talks about demons etc speaking in unknown tongues Not one. However after Christ left this earth at the end of the four gospels and came back in the power of the Holy Ghost everytime the church received the Holy Ghost they spoke in to tongues. Kind of funny Christian’s don’t know the word of God. There are more than one speaking in tongues if you actually open up the good book you would know that. 🤦‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️. All this brown crap is just that. If you were taught real American history like I was back in the 70’s and 80’s you wouldn’t be spouting that crap. Every culture on earth has been slaves at some point. Not any human culture on this earth was perfect. When I was raised I learned the good and the bad of all cultures Get out of your feelings and seek out truth. My grandfather was full blooded Indian and adopted by a very wealthy farming and ranching family in Texas He saw orbs one night which are lights. You literally saw lights as in orbs per your own admission in a field but doubt orbs. 🤦‍♂️. I used to like your show but the last 10/12 have become insufferable so I’ll be moving along. Just want to thank y’all first and foremost for putting out the best paranormal content I’ve ever watched or listened to. I’m just a guy from Mississippi who enjoys paranormal content. Y’all do a fantastic job of keeping the listener engaged and on the edge their seat. I look forward to all the content y’all put out each week whether it is videos or pods. Thank y’all again for keeping my commute to and from work exciting. I’m a Physical Therapist Assistant and working in a nursing home with the elderly may not seem fun, but you would be surprised how much they like to hear stories about ghosts or the paranormal. I thought this would be an interesting podcast but the questionable comments: “colored people” the comments about Mexican Americans and the comments about black women getting their hair wet. Good grief. Such a let down. I suppose people who like this crap are of a similar mindset.

I did like it until the comment about black women and our hair not getting wet. That wasn’t ok to say or necessary.

I considered if I wanted to leave a review or not, I’ve never done one before but as I continued to listen to their podcast I thought it would be worth it for those trying find something steady. As for “ear catching” they have that about them, something about the stories generally leave you wanting more. But they spend the MAJORITY of the time rambling about irrelevant stuff. It seems enough people complained that they now list when they start to actually tell stories. Then, if you thought you’ve waited your fair share of time, once they begin to tell stories they set it up so the “most interesting” is reserved for the Patreons. Which honestly gave me real big CLICK BAIT vibes. I won’t go spend an extra $2 so I can hear an important part of a story that I expected to get in the first place. I’ve listened to other podcasts and never have the others been so exclusive to just their Patreons that mid story they dangle it in front of you to go sign up if you want to know the rest. Honestly just using them to pass time until the better orchestrated podcasts update. Not worth your time unless you have hours to waste

I have almost listened to every episode now and I am really loving this show! I have always loved true crime and paranormal podcasts, but often find that they can weigh me down too much and just leave a negative vibe. This show, however, has such a great mix of humor and scares. I am always feeling thoughtful and encouraged when I finish listening because Charles, Shawn, and DeeJay do such a great job at balancing the humor and scares a almost always leave on a positive. Keep up the tremendous work!

I absolutely LOVE y’all ! So funny and spooky at the same time .

First, I did not expect a group of young guys chatting back and forth about scary experiences rather than scary story telling entertainment. Second, what is up with the word “like” in EVERY. SINGLE.SENTENCE. I didn’t want the “valley” talk experience. And lastly, I definitely did not expect the offensive talk or reference about Mexican people, “living in a pile of dirt”, “methy town”, to describe El Paso. I’m a Mexican American and this was just an unacceptable discussion to describe the people of El Paso.

Too much in needed chatting. I’m all for good banter but these guys talk about nothing interesting. We come here to hear awesome scary stories not ur everyday schedules. Make it funny at least if ur gonna chat smh 🤦🏻‍♀️ crazy how the little guys have better content

If you want to hear 2 hours about nothing and 5 minutes of (not) scary stories, you’ve come to the right place. The whole twitch thing is a terrible idea for a podcast, all the lagging while waiting for the chat or interacting with the chat- so boring to listen to. Also you retell life experiences over and over, or conversations not pertaining to scary stories- over and over again. You are so far from your concept these days, I personally just can’t.

Absolutely love these guys! Thankful for the work they put into their stories. I appreciate their views on things and for having some great guests on their pod. Sean great at making things spooky! Charlie is fantastic at bringing up interesting topics! Deejay brings in so much with his knowledge of music! 10/10 def recommend for anyone who likes a good time.

finally finished the whole thing a few days ago, listen to you guys everyday at work, makes the time go by faster while listening to the stories you guys share ! although i finished everything i go back and listen to random ones while waiting for the new ones to drop, never gets old, keep it up you guys 😌

I love love LOVE this podcast. I found this podcast at the beginning of this school year. My daughter was in school and my husband was at work and I’m at home all day with the baby. I needed something new and exciting and I’m so happy I typed in scary stories and found this one. I love how they are so chilled. I love how they make fun of each other, but love each other. I love how they tell the stories. They are so funny, but I love how they can get serious and talk about tough issues. I definitely recommend 3AM scary stories.

Yo I like this podcast but if y'all want more Patreon support-you really gotta stop taking stories from other podcasts. I know it's not stealing and y'all list references, but fereal-all your listeners already listen to crime junkies, mfm, etc. so if you are going to use those stories, you need to use older ones and you need to stop telling these stories for patreon listeners. Why would I pay for a story I already heard for free? I feel like it's fine to tell the same stories as some of these other podcasts-because some of these stories are hella popular and have been covered by many shows/documentaries/podcasts--but when you mess up details while telling a story from another podcast, it's just ...frustrating as a listener. Y'all did the crime junkies operation fireball story for patreon listeners, and that podcast had literally just aired a few weeks before you did it on your show. I don't want to be negative cause like I said, I like y'all but your content is overlapping other podcasts too much. Also it's cringe that y'all call it a comedy podcast now. Anyways, be well.

I’m really glad I was able to find this podcast. It’s has been great getting to know these guys. The way they tell stories really makes it feel like we are all sitting around a campfire and going around telling stories. There has been so many times they’ve made me laugh, and plenty others that while I’m at work, I’m looking over my shoulder…. Just in case… the spooks are real with this one.
