Retro horror is alive! Written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, It Follows is a triumph of one clear vision serenaded by the creepy immersive score of DisasterPeace. It’s a team-up you’re going to want to see and then discuss… and if your friends haven’t seen the film yet, hold it over their heads until they do. Both David Robert Mitchell and DisasterPeace have our attention going forward- you’ll want to follow as well.

Psycho (1960)
If you’re looking for an experiment in psychological horror, look no further than Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 classic Psycho. The movie itself will certainly leave you creeped out, but when you add in the masterful score- well, the film just takes on a life of it’s own. If you have at all been curious what a slow decent into madness might sound like, Psycho will definitely satiate your quandary. There’s always a vacancy at the Bates Motel. We recommend a visit soon.

Batman vs Robin – When I heard DC Animated was going to produce a film based on the epic Batman: Court of Owls storyline, I was both elated and apprehensive. Court of Owls is a very intricately woven, complex story and it could have easily been watered down for the sake of animation. I’m happy to say that, while Batman vs Robin does take liberties with the source material, it works as a stand alone tale and really adds new depth to the Batman/Robin relationship. Superb animation with a story set against the backdrop of the Court of Owls landed Jay Oliva’s latest project squarely in my dope arena this week. I highly recommend a viewing.
