Murder At The U Series
I think ESPN did any excellent job highlighting Miami Dade County Police Departments mishandling of this case. But I do feel that ESPN pushed the narrative of it being Rashawn Jones and prosecutors felt the pressure from the world now seeing the mishandling and the family pushing as well. After hearing an unbiased report from 20/20 I changed my mind that it was Rashawn. Keep in mind I listened to 30 for 30 first and that’s what made me think it was Rashawn. I think you breezed over the Haitian gang fight and took it face value. What Haitian gang or any gang at that lets someone live and admit to it? I hope the new trial will be able to acquit Rashawn bc it’s not him. I believe MDPD knew that also and was the reason they didn’t handle the case appropriately.

Irresponsible Journalism murder at the U
So while yall are patting your selves of the backs for feeling like you moved a case forward the evidence that exists is really weak. You suing Dade County seems like it forced them to arrest a suspect. But he’s not a good suspect. He’s just relatively better than perhaps the next best one. Unfortunately he will probably get convicted just cause he’s accused and they I will listen to the next podcast about the question to exonerate him. I hope they have more than some suspicious activity that can easily be explained away and an old man’s eyewitness testimony. Both of which juries love but is notoriously weak evidence. Don’t expect to win a Pulitzer anytime soon. Do better espn.

Stop the Music!!!!! Please
Love your podcasts. But the words are powerful enough. Why do you need this silly music constantly in the background? It is distracting and not needed. Let the words tell the story.

Love the show. Thank you

Three pointers?
The recent series that is advertised as being about the three point shot takes a disturbing turn to glorifying a person’s suicide. Not good at all

Quality quality quality
Man, it’s so nice that in 2025 there’s still a show being thoughtful, well written and understated. I forgot how enjoyable a mini series could be

Chasing Basketball
Extremely interesting season (#15); the story really pulled me in; fascinating history of the 3-pointer; a great investigation on Manley and well-narrated.

Wanted to love it
I love a great sports story. Which so many pf these are. Unfortunately, I can’t listen to loud “NFL beer commercial music” playing over people talking in the interview. It’s hard to focus on what the person is talking about because my brain starts screaming WHAT?! I CAN’T HEAR WHAT THEY ARE SAYING. CAN THE MUSIC BE TURNED DOWN OR OFF?!!!

Not Good
I listened to every episode and still have no idea what this has to do with the 3 point shot.

Not (only) what you think
If it was just a sports analytics story, it would be great. But I promise it’s so much more. Well worth a listen

Boomer got lucky
This could have been 2-3 episodes. A fame craving narcissist who put himself above everyone else was almost unlistenable at times. Sure he understood two is more than three along time ago, but committing suicide with a crucifix in his hand in a police parking lot juts screams “look at me” like he had done all of his life. The quality of podcast is great and the staff produced the show did a great job, but I stopped listening after the 4th episode as it was a bit much.

Shook
I was into this season from jump, but so did not see the twist coming. I can’t stop thinking about the ending. One of my top listens of the year!

the elephant
Seems weird that in the new series, no one mentions autism.

Chasing Basketball Heaven takes a turn
The show started out so well about how a man who broke basketball and reinvented the game. Didn’t expect half the show to be about suicide, not basketball. Keep it sports.

Go back to the beginning
Man the first 10 episodes of this podcast were so so good. Short interesting stories, I was this podcasts biggest fan. I told everyone about it. Now I see new episodes come out and I am immediately disappointed. These long winded stories don’t follow the original spirit of the 30 for 30. They are boring, and pretty far from eapn sports in general. Get back to the basics! Stop with this boring format.

Hobey Baker, LGBT* history
Excellent series on the life of Hobey Baker. Important story to remember, part of LGBT+ History . Thank you.

Woke
I see that what was once a great series has turned woke. Racism, lesbianism, and hating white men has nothing to do with good sports journalism. Figures this is coming from Disney. Just like Disney’s movie division and ESPN, now 30 for 30 is off my watch list. Great job guys!

Excellent
I just finished the 3-part Hobey Baker series. Well-written and produced, and a story I’d not previously heard. Looking forward to diving into more episodes.

Started out great but has gone very downhill
Feels like they have lost the idea of what 30 for 30 was about. The latest episodes about girl vs horse are just not what I subscribed to this podcast for. Lost the beam.

Late to the party
Love all the Sterling episodes. I know I’m late, but great reporting and detail!

Used to be the best
They need to kill the brand. It’s become a vanity project.

Once great content…..
Your once great brand / stories is no longer. Please do better.

30 for 30 podcasts
30 for 30 podcasts are all about race in sports. It’s not about the love of the game that millions of us have, but it has to be about the divide. Truly sad and no longer worth listening to.

The Greatest Baseball Player You’ve Never Heard Of….
If you’re looking for a podcast that will take you on a journey through hidden American sports history, extraordinary talent, and personal stories, then look no further than Reclaimed: The Forgotten League. The podcast is hosted by Vanessa Ivy Rose, who has an energetic voice and a genuine and empathetic approach to storytelling. She also happens to be the granddaughter of Negro Leagues star Turkey Stearnes. The podcast covers a range of topics, including the segregation and integration of professional baseball and its impact in Black players. It also highlights the equity gaps that still exist today in MLB and the opportunity that remains to rewrite history. In episode 5 titled “The Hall” the podcast explores how baseball institutions still fail to recognize the Negro Leaguers, and notes the fact that leadership needed to change in the past for change to happen in the future. The episode is both informative and emotional, and it’s a great example of the kind of storytelling that Reclaimed is known for. Overall, if you’re looking for a podcast that invites you think deeply about the history around you, learn about the overlooked greats of America’s favorite pastime, and touch on personal family stories, then Reclaimed: The Forgotten League is definitely worth the listen!

They are all great
I’ve never met one I didn’t like. I listen to them multiple times. So we’ll put together. I share them with my kids and they love them too. History they wouldn’t otherwise learn. 30for30 is amazing. Keep up the great work!

Best show out right now.
A beautiful telling of history, oppression and the fight for freedom. Well done!

Started great but fell off point
Story started great, loved his methods, from selling albums to rebuilding the community. Of course in episode four we have to bring up race issues and political crap. Gets old immediately stopped listening.

This show used to really great. Thoughtful about sports and how sports affect us all. Good stories about people flawed and heroic. To see people’s complexity But not a promotional show . The Crenshaw series is not good like that. I live at Crenshaw so was interested to hear it. But it just felt like a legacy polishing and not as interesting. I hope they get back to their regular journalism and move away from fan series.

King of Crenshaw — THANK YOU!
Such a stellar deep dive into Nipsey’s legacy. Really enjoyed this four part series. So strong.

King of Crenshaw
A wonderful listen but I wonder in what other facets Nipsey would have channeled his energy and talent in.

Deep dives!!!!
Love them!
Bubble but.
Interesting Podcast
Very good podcast that dives into a lot of interesting stories that don’t necessarily come to mind when thinking of the biggest stories. Well produced and edited. Always excited to listen to new seasons.

WNBA story was amazing!
Nice to get to know some background on female basketball players. I’ve never watched a WNBA game but I will now!

Movie for your Ears!
Fantastic production quality. Original sounds and clips from past events, interviews and the story telling - it’s like a movie every time I listen to it. Absolute 5 on 5!

I love 30 for 30
Until they made it political. It’s like the way I miss sportscenter. Come back home bud, please

Great podcast series!
These are meticulously-constructed stories that place sporting events and athletes in the larger context of history. Each of these lovingly-presented stories is a movie begging to be made.

Thank God season 8 is finally here!!
My friends call me the podcast cast king because I listen to so many different podcast all the time. But far and away the 30 For 30 series of podcasts are the best things going. Your superior storytelling,Mixing sports and history, and production, put these podcasts in a class of their own. Thank God season eight is finally here. You’ve been away too long!!

1st episode of March 11th 2020
How do you tell the story of Rudy Gobert getting covid with zero mention of him mocking covid and touching all the microphones? That was the talk of the day when he got it. Zero mention of it? That can’t be an accident you left that part out. Very weird.

I’m not even a sports person
...but this is one of the best investigative podcasts I’ve come across. The topics they choose consistently surprise me (in the best way) by veering away from the mainstream/overdone sports, and I find myself getting invested in things I’ve never thought or cared much about (poker, gymnastics, horse-racing, etc). Keep up the incisive reporting!
