My favorite podcast ever. I hope schedules allow for 3 Songs to be rekindled down the road. I miss it.

So many great songs

I always find a new/obscure band to enjoy when I listen to these.

Two guys with huge record collections hang out and play lesser known songs across many genres and eras (focused somewhat on indie/post-punk/guitar music from 80s to now). I’ve been an avid music listener and record store guy for decades and I’m CONSTANTLY discovering great stuff from this pod. Try it out and I bet you’ll find at least one cool artist you didn’t know about on every ep. 👍

Bob and Mike have introduced me to countless artists I’d never heard before. It really is like stepping back to a time when adventurous music lovers used to discover new things through the simple act of sharing and talking to each other about what they were listening to. Layer on the funny tangents about nearly expired meat and Bob’s awkward run ins with larger than life folks like Henry Rollins and Courtney Love, and you’ve got yourself a crispy listen every time. Thanks, gents!

Bob and Mike are the best.

Listening to this show is like hanging out and talking with old friends. I often find myself chiming in and giving my two cents to the conversation as Bob and Mike turn me on to so many new songs and artists and remind me to visit some old favorites too! Their banter is addictive and their tangents entertaining. All this and their impressive knowledge of such a wide variety of music makes the show a much needed escape from the insanity of the last couple of years. I can’t say enough good things about this podcast!

Great banter between two music lovers. Bob Nastanovich is a raconteur who intertwines his stories about his life with Pavement and Silver Jews while Mike Hogan provides commentary. Fun listen.

The only music podcast I know that will also give a racing tip now & again! 3 Songs’ completist and a big fan, Mike said leave a review so I’ll say highly recommended and I always keep a few old episodes at the ready for a rainy day. Do a road episode in Nashville! :)

What a unique pleasure this podcast is! This is not your typical music podcast. Bob and Mike select fantastic songs from nearly every genre (with a tendency for 80/90s underground punk and indie). I have a Spotify playlist devoted to all of my favorites that I’ve heard first from this show. Try it out if your are tired of the same old music podcasts and are looking for interesting banter and even better music!

Bob and Mike play excellent stuff, and their discussion of the music makes this just so much better than any radio or streaming service. Bob has amazing stories and zany rambling while his dog barks and Mike kind of plays the straight man but is equally likeable and cool. I’m not even into horse racing but I like that they talk about it. Maybe my favorite podcast ever, but definitely my favorite music podcast.

Ever since discovering this podcast a few weeks ago, I have been listening to it nonstop. Thank you.

Bob - off and on listener. Loved the David Nance track. I'm so sorry for you loss. Dave wrote me a postcard in 1999 when I was 16. I have depression as well. Each morning i wake up and think to myself "this one's for you Dave" and stick it out. keep putting up tracks like nothing happened, it's chill.

An absolute pleasure listening to good fellows pass the turntable back and forth. The lovely chats, the burning tracks, the exposure to new or overlooked artists. Great ‘cast!

This podcast is amazing. I just discovered it and am going through all the previous ones. One constructive criticsm, Bob needs to not talk over Mike so much, and be more aware of all the noise he makes in the background.

They have great rapport and nobody else is playing these songs.

Love these two guys, seems like I discover at least a couple new (to me) bands on every podcast that are worth tracking down and exploring further. Bob n Mike have impeccable taste, and they pepper the tunes with great stories.

A good podcast by a couple of fellas who love to rock and love to talk about it. Simply the audio equivalent of “good mood food.”
