OR, are you training to develop your fitness, improve your strength, train for a specific sport, possibly you are training to rehabilitate? So, do you have to sit on one side of the camp? Can you train to look AND feel good?
Training for performance goal doesn’t have to mean you don’t care about your body composition or how you feel or what you look like.
