The French and Indian War (1754-1763) was a conflict between Great Britain and the French, with their Native American allies, for control of the North American continent. The war was fought in the colonies of British America and New France, with battles occurring in the Ohio Valley, the Great Lakes, and the Mississippi River Valley.
