Today’s running partner is a 7x Ironman triathlete and a Team GB Triathlon runner. He was originally a Pro Level Golfer, who ended up representing Team GB in Triathlon starting in 2016. It was a running buddy match made randomly on an airplane to Barcelona, Spain. I went there for work, he went there for the last Ironman triathlon before this run in 2018.Please join today's run with Shane Antill and hear all about his training, his seven Ironman competitions, coming back from an accident that fractured his spine in four places, being laid off the day he came back from his injury even stronger, just until the one Ironman in Melbourne, Australia where he nearly died.Learning is key and this run is all about that!Oh, and yes, we do pass some horses at about 18 minutes in. We all look a bit bewildered for a moment there, but it’s all part of the fun 😉.Informational tid-bit; Olympic Triathlon distances are: Swim 1500m, Bike 42.4km, Run 10km. We are "only" running a mere 3 miles...Let’s Go!–Today is Day 2,921 on my own Running Streak.–Runners Quote from: 00:20:18“Sometimes in winter I do take time off from swimming and I’m not doing it ever again.
