I love this podcast. I’ve listened to most episodes more than once. I’ve read many books I probably would not have even known about because of this podcast. The podcast is always good for some laugh out loud moments too.

Love this podcast. The format such that it’s like tuning into your girlfriends the first 15-20 minutes. Yes it’s just banter but it’s so fun and welcome. After the banter each book girl provides a book review. Listeners get up to four very different book reviews. From historical fiction, to YA to high fantasy to contemporary fiction. I’ve gotten amazing recommendations in genres I may not have tried if not for one of their reviews. They hold live events quarterly and have started zoom calls during COVID, so it’s more than a podcast...but a true community.

These women do a great job of making you feel like you’re part of their lives and family. They’re open and honest about their thoughts and views whether they’re book-related or life-related. I really appreciate their honesty and the variety of book recommendations I’ve gotten from this podcast. It’s great. They’re great. I just love them. :)

Such a fun podcast with recommendations for all sorts of books, not just the usual books club’ fare, and mixed in with some fun side conversations that just make you feel like you’re sitting with a cup of coffee (or an adult beverage) and talking books with your best girl friends!

I have been a listener for years and these girls are my favorite readers and my favorite podcast to listen to every single week. I like real women who are honest and read real books so this podcast is perfect! Every week you hear lots of fun chit chat and at least three different book are reviewed. The books they review are as diverse as their personalities. I always learn about books I wouldn’t otherwise read. My pro tip is to listen with your goodreads app open so you can add to your TBR pile as you listen.

I’ve listened to about forty of them, but I can’t take the annoying chatter about nonsense anymore. Also, whoever the lead “Book Girl” is gets on my nerves so much. She talks over people, interrupts, and always knows more about the book someone read than they do.

I have tried several times to listen to this podcast but I just can’t do it anymore. I’ve given it several chances. I haven’t even been able to get past the loud talking about nothing important in the first place. I don’t even know what comes after, and if they even talk about books. I couldn’t hang in long enough. Every time it’s the same thing. I listen to A LOT of book podcasts, and this just isn’t “it”. Chit chat in a podcast is one thing... this doesn’t work.

I think that this particular podcast is meant for a much younger audience (15-20 year olds). I did not find it to be intellectually stimulating. The beginning is also quite annoying with the screaming in high-pitch and yapping about nothing in particular (i.e. cat food & marshmallows?). I’m sure that the right audience will find it fun & interesting, I personally prefer quieter, “bookish” discussions.

I love this show. I’ve discovered so many great books through them and I also really enjoy the front of the show where they just talk. This show cheers me up every week. :)

Funny ladies and books what could be better - every now and then they go a bit “inside joke “ otherwise the show is great

I look forward to hearing their show each week. They are so genuine I feel like we are friends. They have turned me on to books and authors I may never have considered. Great show, I highly recommend it.

I just discovered this podcast and have binged 25 episodes in 3 days. They are so fun to listen to! It feels like you’re among friends, chatting about books. What could be better?

I like the podcast. Although, I’ve heard more polished book podcasts, the 3 book girls are relatable and fun. However, I often fast forward 15 minutes because the irrelevant talking about the beginning can get way too long and annoying. I love the book reviews and have added many books onto my TBR from their recommendations; but I’d enjoy it better if there was less non book talk.

I found this podcast and was excited because I have been looking for a good book podcast. That being said I started with the March 18th episode. I couldn’t last more than five minutes. Tip to all podcasters, if you are going to eat cake during your podcast be mindful of the microphone. I couldn’t handle the smacking in my ears. The bright side is I could tell it would be a fun podcast. So I’m going to give it another try. But just couldn’t get over the smacking.

An excellent podcast, and runs the gamut of book genres - there’s something for everyone!

I listen to pretty much every literary podcast out there, and I recently discovered 3 Book Girls. First of all, the hosts are absolutely fantastic...funny, insightful and engaging. The books they review might be new, but it also might be something that was published 20 years ago. I look forward to each episode now...it’s like spending an hour with friends just chatting about books and culture. Highly recommended!
