“Fake News” has become an often-used term since the 2016 election in the USA. In the days of the early church, the problem became fake teachers. Fake teachers taught fake doctrine, fake theology. Fake teaching and fake theology lead to an impotent and phony spiritual life—a pseudo-spirituality which has eternal consequences for the individual.
