Humans United FC has become one of my favorite podcasts. The Miami Fusion episodes are informative and fun, but HUFC has grown to be so much more! Each episode highlights another aspect of the beautiful game, from female footballers to mental health and more. HUFC makes the case, perhaps unwittingly, that our game is called the beautiful one both because of our differences and despite them. Joe Shaw takes you on a global journey, from American Samoa to Oakland to Scotland and beyond, to discover the common threads that bind us humans from all walks of life. Among them and especially is of course, el juego bonito- futbol.

This is such a great listen. Even if you didn’t follow the Miami Fusion, this is a great way to learn about the MLS in the early days. This was the barnstorming days of the league. Comparable to the NFL in the 60s and 70s.

Don’t typically listen to podcasts but hearing about a podcast about the history of one of the founding MLS teams and being the football history junkie I am, I had to listen to it and it is absolutely fantastic!
