The show produced made but it leaves out a ton of eyewitness testimony and actual evidence.The show seems to take a approach of skimming along the top to keep explanations and actions of the main players simple but doesn’t do the deep digging necessary in this case.Its almost like having a sandwich put in front of you when your starving and then told you can only eat half!

I watch and listen to everything I can find on the JFK assassination. It profoundly affected a little 8 year old boy’s life back in 1963. While listening to this podcast I have learned things I never knew. This is one of the best podcasts available on this subject.

Best podcast ever!!!!

I can’t believe this podcast is from the History Channel. The documentary from the late 80’s early 90’s done by THC, The Men Who Killed Kennedy, is absolutely incredible (free on YouTube). This podcast regurgitates the Warren Commission Report without question. Well done from a production standpoint, but it has no merit.

I enjoyed the podcast but it seems to suffer from confirmation bias. It’s seems to support the Warren report. Perhaps, the History Channel succeeds because the premise is 24 hours after and not much was known at that point. Disappointing that contradictory evidence to official reports was not considered.

With the abundance of previously classified information now available, one would expect that the focus on the theory of Oswald as the lone assassin would diminish. While it is evident that Oswald was involved in a way that corresponds to his level of incompetence, it is unreasonable to disregard the fact that he had deep ties with the CIA for several years prior. The idea that his failing marriage alone provided him with the opportunity to transform into a highly skilled assassin, capable of firing shots swiftly from multiple angles, while also directing witnesses to place him in the lunchroom, is indeed preposterous. The earlier episodes, which appeared quite believable, now come into question regarding their validity.

This isn’t intended as hyperbole—I think this may be Rob Reiner’s best work. I have studied this topic for years but the podcast has revealed an incredible amount of detail that I didn’t know. The series has challenged my thinking & caused me to see puzzle pieces I didn’t know even existed. Well done!

Soon as I heard “Oswald” was the shooter, I quickly lost interest. This documentary is a complete JOKE!

This podcast is pure perfection

This podcast is so well done. I have three more episodes to listen to and don’t want it to be over. I hate to say I love this podcast because in a perfect world JFK would’ve never been assassinated and this podcast would not exist. So sad.

While this tells a lot of information behind the scenes about the JFK assassination. It is laced with attacks leveled at the “right” based on opposition to civil rights. The Republicans pushed the civil rights act of 1964 which was largely opposed by the Democrats. The south was largely Democrat until after the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights act. MLK Jr was a Republican. The lies in this podcast ruin what would be an otherwise compelling behind the scenes look at the events surrounding the assassination. Also, the Biden DHS just denied RFK Jr’s request for Secret Service protection.

I believe that it’s irresponsible to publish such trash with no evidence. There was nobody to ever said that Oswald was seen in the window with the rifle. The writers, producers and editors should be ashamed of themselves for this piece. Though some of this piece is based on facts, the part about Oswald and president Johnson are not based on facts and there is no evidence that substantiate the depiction of Oswald and Johnson.

I’m an avid podcast listener, a fan or true crime and history and also a well-told story. This one hits every one of those nails on the head. This reminds me of when the history channel was actually more history content, and I’m grateful to be able to get it in this format. Actually, I found this to be a more dynamic format than TV! Zero complaints and all praise. This one will stick with me forever. Please, please, PLEASE do more of these History Channel!

This is an entertaining podcast. It is not accurate to witness testimony or contradictory evidence that the second investigation by the United States government conducts in the late 1970s. For example, the last two shots in Dealy Plaza, according to all witnesses and the recorded tape of a Dallas motorcycle, came almost immediately together. Additionally, Oswald was court-martialed for a venereal disease that he contracted in a Japanese brothel off limits to anyone non commissioned. Charges were dropped at the request of his superiors. Today’s military would court martial for this. Another point was that only one witness was sure that the person they saw who killed Officer Tippett was Oswald. Others were unsure until after Oswald’s face had been shown on tv and condemned as the shooter. Several other witnesses said that there were two men involved. There are so many more points to contradict that can easily be seen in now released documents. It always bothers me when historians so completely accept a report that was actually refuted by a later government investigation.

By examining the impact this national tragedy had on those closest to President Kennedy, this inventive series breathed life into a nearly 60-year-old mystery. Each episode was compelling, rich and extremely well-made. From the firsthand interviews to the meticulously constructed timeline, this is a fascinating listen for casual history students and JFK enthusiasts alike.

It’s fascinating to hear everything that happened during that day from the different perspectives of those closest to the incident including the assassin! Any JFK history buff will enjoy this.

This podcast was captivating! Steve Gillon did a great job narrating. I will definitely share with friends and family to enjoy such a well-done podcast.

I’ve read the books, watched the documentaries, and listened to just about every opinion on this sad episode of American history. This does an excellent job of documenting the timeline, the atmosphere, and the emotion. We can’t keep looking for more conspiracies. If true evidence emerges, I’m sure it will be vetted and shared in the same manner, without hype.

Ignore the conspiracy theory enthusiasts. This is a great look at history
