Today’s episode was created out of an inquiry we received from one of our listeners. She asked how do I know if I am hearing from my ego or from my higher self, so we are going to get into this discussion today.

The ego is something we talk about in spirituality often, so it's important to understand what the ego and higher self is and how to differentiate. 

When you think of ego, think of it as an aspect of ourselves based on our identity. Our higher self, is an aspect that connects us to our highest potential. Let's get into this topic of discussion:

• Ego is about you first - over everyone - it’s disconnection from the oneness - higher self always seeks balance and the good of all 
• Ego judges - higher self seeks to understand
• Ego compares - higher self embraces and accepts 
• Ego likes comfort zone - higher self is open to exploring the unknown
