I love this pod because it literally takes away my anxiety every time I listen - which is all the time now as I’m binging it. Every episode is unique, well produced and touching in a beautiful way!

Love this podcast! It does an amazing job helping to explore difficult and important topics truthfully and deeply, without fluff; while still maintaining a personal touch that allows me to actually apply the lessons and perspectives into my own life.

Truly inspiring

Listening to this podcast lifts me up in a way that is inaccessible most of the time. Other people sharing their stories of pain and their subsequent ladder through and above it is some kind of metaphysical tether that works as a ladder for us all. The narration is grounded and calm amidst stories of incredible tumult. This is one of the best podcasts out there and I believe it is truly medicine. So grateful it exists! Go listen!

But I have fallen in love with this podcast. It’s so thoughtful, so authentic and heartfelt that I can feel it opening me up to a world I’ve always been closed to. It’s truly lovely and love-filled.

Laurel has a gift for composing a podcast in a way that you as the audience get a sacred glimpse into the precious life experience of another person’s soul. It is a rare opportunity to witness the depth of someone else’s story that is usually only shared with a few close friends. In witnessing their journeys, they pass on their grace and strength to us. I just finished listening to the “How a Writer Repaired Her Marriage After Her Husband Died” episode. It’s surprising, emotional, and beautifully crafted. Laurel asks difficult and important questions with empathy, tact, and curiosity. This is one of the best interviews I’ve heard in a long time.

This podcast takes you inside of people’s hearts and minds. Us humans are so unique and Laurel Morales is wonderfully gifted at how she is able to talk to people about their textured experiences.

This is one of my favorite podcast. The people on the podcast are so real. Their vulnerability is refreshing, especially in a society of false realities. Every episode I am in tears lol, but I learn something about myself and the way I want to show up in the world. If you want to begin the journey of self-reflection, this is a show worth the listen.

Host Laurel Morales clearly respects the people who trust her to share their emotional stories. Some lines will stay with you long after the audio ends like, “We were no longer family. We were relatives.” and “You make friends with Parkinson’s...you let it teach you patience.”

In a world that seems really negative & self-centeredness a lot of the time, this makes you look up & see the beauty. Thank you. Omg, I’m obsessed. I’ve been looking for a show like this forever! Radio rental was kind of like this. Hearing all kinds of stories from other people… you can’t beat.

Each episode I have listened to on 2 Lives has been incredibly touching. This is just the podcast I was looking for. Episode two really got me! 🥲 I can’t wait to listen to the next episode; I’m hooked and so in awe of the writing and storytelling that Laurel Morales has done for this podcast.

Awhile back Laurel Morales interviewed me as part of a podcast episode she was creating on my friend Scott Stabile. Today I got to listen to the 30-min episode she created and was blown away by the power of her storytelling and learning details about Scott’s life that I didn’t know even after our 15-year close friendship. It’s a beautiful and heartbreaking episode, and a celebration of what can happen when we commit to being a loving person above all the messiness and trauma life can bring.

Storytelling at its best. Can’t wait to hear more!

It’s probably true all the time - that at any moment we can and do shift from our first life to our second, from somewhere to aware - but maybe it’s especially vital right now, as we imagine what life can be like again. Morales is a master storyteller and master listener. She lets us know her and know the people featured in each episode….and leads us right to the river of their change, and then lets us jump. Right. In.

Laurel is such a gifted writer and storyteller, and she has remarkable instinct when it comes to knowing what connects us all in our human experience. I am thrilled that 2 Lives has returned and I will remember to bring a hankie along on my Tuesday hikes, as I’ve cried real tears with every episode so far. These stories are so beautifully told!
