The Nightmare on Elm Street timeline is pretty easy to figure out and has some pretty good continuity. Halloween has more alternate timelines than Back to the Future and The Terminator franchise combined, but...it's still easy to follow (or at least explain).And then...there is Friday the 13th. A franchise whose timeline can be so choppy that it makes you scratch your head and then smack it against the wall each time you try to make sense of it.
