Too biased
I read the transcript of one of the episodes on the creation of Israel and it is very biased. Israel is described as though it is doing all it can to prevent deaths of civilians and contrasted with the barbarity of Hamas. Israel’s investigations into casualties is mentioned but not how incredibly biased those are, nor the atrocities committed on prisoners held by IDF. I wonder what their position is now that starving Gazans are literally being shot while trying to get food. Also no mention of reports from human rights orgs and doctors who say doctors and aid groups are being targeted, as are journalists.

LTC Rudder
Come on man! Rudder was the Battalion Commander of 2nd Ranger Battalion. He was a Lieutenant Colonel not a Lieutenant!!! Great podcast.

15 minutes is not enough!
Every evening on my way home from work I listen to this podcast. Fun, imaginative, and informative! Thank you

Great resource
I really enjoy getting a brief history of various events. I really like the discussions as well. It is good to hear their thoughts based on their political leaning. We need to hear thoughts from all perspectives. If we only listen to people with our own political leaning, we will be sorely ill informed.

Decent information but biased
I really like the information they provide and when their ability to remind the listeners of context while presenting several perspectives. In a good bit of the discussion podcasts you can clearly hear their political affiliations and it warps a lot of their evaluations of the past. Unfortunately, I prefer their discussions Bc I can see them apply and evaluate the historical facts, so I just have to get past their comments based on their belief that they, themselves, are morally superior from others in academia/government/society.
I lean very different from these two politically, but value their work with podcast and presentation of historical fact.

Keep to the facts
I like the 15 minute episodes but take issue to the discussion episodes. Please discuss the events/people you have researched and not personal political opinions.

Binge worthy
Download all of these before a long flight and land much better informed and well entertained! I like the banter back and forth but Jon’s gentle bullying of Joe can get old. Be a better teammate, Jon!

Rational lesson
I wasn’t sure how to hit like on the episodes so I’m letting you know here that I really enjoyed them and would like to hear more! Love your show!
Wanted to write a second review but it just went to edit. Just spent a Sunday morning at work listening to the good the bad and the ugly movie review (the 2nd one) and completely enjoyed it. Was feeling a little stressed and anxious but it took me out of my head and was an enjoyable distraction. Thank you for these episodes and all your work!

Rich conversation
Great podcast! The hosts balance each other well. It’s like eavesdropping on rich conversation in an old tavern; which I think is what every podcast aspires to be.

Extraordinary Podcast
Jon Streeter graduated with Honors from Hillsdale College in Michigan. This is where he read all the founding father’s great works, read Mein Kampf in English as well as in German, interviewed several brilliant people including Margaret Thatcher and Sir Martin Gilbert. He attended Oxford University where he received highest marks for his coursework there. He researches by investigating, not other people’s opinions, but original sources. He works 60-70 hours per week, pouring his heart into his passion for the Truth in History. Don’t be fooled. He is NOT just “a high school teacher”!
This is an outstanding podcast.

Wow
Thought I was listening to a podcast by two respected history professors. Turns out neither of them are professors. One works in marketing and the other is a high school teacher.
Listened to the most recent episode where they discuss the Spanish Flu and Brown v. Board. The historical accuracy of the pod is not in question. His interpretations of these events and connections to the current climate are jaw dropping. So much that I needed to know what qualifications these two had to make these interpretations. Interestingly enough, they’re just two random guys who made a podcast.
Also, shocked that they quoted PragerU star, Jordan Peterson in this episode. I listened to the discussion as well, funny to hear that you knew this episode would stir up emotions. I’ve never written a review for a podcast before, but felt I needed to provide a service to other history lovers: don’t listen to this garbage.

Makes me feel a little smarter every time I listen. Thanks guys!

Corps of Discovery on “15 minute History”
I just listened to the two episodes on “15 Minute History “ of one of the most important and thrilling events in this young country’s history: the Corps of Discovery. Joe Parker in this initial and exceptionally well done episode accurately summarized the expedition and Jon Streeter’s thoughtful questions in the second episode and their scholarly dialogue added depth, understanding, awe, and excitement to this formative and foundational event in our US history.
Well done, men. Keep up the good work because we need to hear more from you to help us better understand ourselves, our place in the world, and to learn of the exceptional people who have helped make this great nation.
