Better before
I started listening because of the outstanding reporting on the Karen read case. I stopped subscribing to crime junkie many years ago because it is the same script and narration all the time. This felt different. Now it feels shallow, overproduced and just another crime junkie lookalike. Bummer. No new cases. No one wants to rehash cases that have been covered a zillion times. We want new cases, current cases, and Brandy’s research back. It seems to be this way with so many podcasts who get bought out.

Love this Podcast!
This Podcast is hands down my new #1. Brandy is a wonderful narrator. I really enjoy listening to cases being presented from both sides, great concept that makes you think!

Great reporting
Great take on true crime stories. If you like watching court tv , this is for you.

Fallen off
I really enjoyed the multi part series she made with other trials, like Karen Read. Since her rebrand, it’s just a tired rehashing of famous cases that literally no one asked for. And to cover the cases in two episodes? We can all search the internet to learn the basics. This isn’t a podcast worth subscribing to anymore. It’s lazy and uninteresting. And the Court tv appearances? You lose any remaining credibility with your involvement with that biased “news” outlet.

So well done!
I can tell every detail is meticulously researched but then also, Brandi is able to explain it all and makes it easy to understand and digest. I'm not one to write reviews too often, but I felt compelled to give this podcast and Brandi the props that are deserved.

Complete Let Down
I started with her first episodes it was a 7 part series about Letecia Staunch only to find out after episode 6 there was no part 7 what a complete let down and a total bummer. Won’t be listening to anything else

Great podcast
I love this podcast

Shallow at best
For a podcast that claims it looks at every piece of evidence to find the truth, it offers a very shallow presentation of very few pieces of evidence. If you want a general overview of a case, this is the podcast for you.

Outstanding
Love listening to your podcast.

Enjoyable
Overall I enjoy the 13th juror episodes. I enjoy the host, although she does tend to be a little biased in the way she presents the cases (which is slightly contrary to the premise of the podcast). I wish the Conspiracy in Canton episodes were organized in their own separate podcast because it’s a lot of episodes on one subject that I truly don’t care to listen to and wish there was an easy way to filter those episodes out.

Incredible
I just found this podcast through either The Deck or one of Ashley’s other podcasts! I absolutely love the way you I have started the Karen Reed series, I followed it when it was going on. I am learning so much more listening to you! This is great!present the information

Amazing- so well done!!
I lived every episode… then the Bob Motta interview !!!! WOW! The insights are nothing less than shocking.. great Podcast

Delphi case
Thank you so much for covering this case. More people need to delve into this case like they have in the Karen Reid case. As a true critical thinker I believe Richard Allen percent innocent. And Bob Motta is not a charlatan, but a truth seeker if he believed Richard Allen was guilty. He would say so. But the facts do not bear that out.

Yuck
This is some weird Richard Allen defense podcast disguised as true crime reporting. Had I known it was an Ashley Flowers podcast I never would have even listened. Prepare to hear her smug and smarmy voice consistently on commercial break. She and this podcast are Grade A trolls- taking a contrarian viewpoint as rage bait for the general listener (this guy is guilty). It worked, I’m angry at myself for blowing several hours of time of this nonsense. Unsubscribed

I have questions!
Thoroughly enjoy the podcast, the Bob Motta episode especially. Compelling guest. But I have so many follow up questions for him—I wish there was a way to comment, leave a question. Anyway, so good, really

Disappointed
Bob Motta is a charlatan and I am so disappointed that you hooked up with him. I haven’t listened because he is horrible. I really loved your podcast until now.

Delphi... Really?
Used to be such a big fan of this podcast. Now that's she's championing Richard Allen and his hack of a defence team, I'm so disappointed and will not be continuing to listen.

Boring & unprofessional
Tried giving it a shot but cannot stand the voices or the content. Very amateur, and audiochuck is a company with horrendous ethics.
Hoj215
Yikes
M’am, it literally sounds like you’re on the defense team’s payroll. I’m all for a new take, and open to hearing both sides. But please don’t pretend this is an unbiased look at this case. Please call it what it is.

Richard Allen case
Long time listener, first time reviewer! I love this podcast and I have listened to every episode. I love how each case is covered and this pod gets 5 stars! I just have to say… regarding the Richard Allen case, the call is coming from inside the house!! Law enforcement was involved in wronging those two little girls! It’s all covered up and the wrong person was convicted. I have listened to every other podcast released about this case and it’s all so fishy and nothing adds up.

What is this podcast about?
The storytelling is ok, although a bit repetitive. But mainly, what is this podcast? Surely it’s not about us listeners being the 13th juror, since the storytelling is so biased (and unnecessarily emotional at times). Is the author retelling cases they covered?

Wow Great Podcast
After first listen, I quickly added 13th Jury to my favorites list. I can’t wait to listen to more cases. 10 stars ⭐️

Excellent!
This is a well developed fresh approach to stories we think we already know! I love how each case is told and presented in 2 episodes, one the prosecution and one the defense, allowing the listener to hear both sides fully - and making our decision (being the 13th juror). Brandi is a great host! I’m excited to feature this show on my show, PodTok, soon! Thanks and can’t wait for more!

And another one
AudioChuck with another great podcast!

Look forward to each podcast
I started listening to 13th Juror during the second Karen Read trial. She had the best coverage of this local travesty. I continued to listen because she is a great storyteller and her cases are interesting and compelling. Can’t wait for the next chapter.

Donna Adelson Should Have Hired Brandi
The most thoughtful and intelligent analysis of the Donna Adelson trial out there. Brandi is so fair. She is listening fairly to both Prosecution and defense and not the noise outside the courtroom. I don’t know where Brandi is going to land on the Jury’s verdict. But I can’t wait to find out. Probably the only pod out there to treat Donna Adelson as innocent until proven guilty. No small feat!

Detailed
If Brandy and her podcast have a fault, it is that she/it is too detailed. NEWSFLASH: This is NOT a criticism! As an attorney with 35 years’ experience, this is what is important and this is what I crave. I also appreciate that, while she does have an opinion, she does not allow it to prevent her from presenting balanced views of the evidence and the parties’ actions. Very well done, Ms. Churchwell!

Thank You!
After only learning about this case during the first trial in April 2024, I started listening to every episode Brandi put out to catch up. Then, for the 2nd trial, I faithfully watched/followed her YouTube channel and listened to these recap episodes. She is the absolute best!! Brandi, thank you for the years you put into this case, helping share the facts with all of us! I can’t wait to listen and watch your coverage starting next month!

58 Episodes Explores
From every episode .. just the facts .. so much information .. so well covered .. I think Alessi said it best … there is monetary income .. psyche income ..Spiritual income .. Brandi ..you succeeded .. can all persons who covered evidence .. bettered their 3 ?

Brandi cares about the cases she covers, and the listeners
Brandi’s podcasts and her youtube coverage of the trials is the best you’ll find. she’s a regular person with a lot of law knowledge so she can explain it really well. she truly cares about the cases, justice, and the listeners.

Thank you!
Brandi, wanted to thank you for your live coverage of the Karen Read trail and for all of your podcasts. You did an amazing job of your coverage and I appreciate all of your hard work! Hope you get to rest tonight! So happy for Karen Read!

Review
Aside from the biases and snide comments, I was surprised to hear the podcaster refer to the judge as “Bev”. That disrespect shows the extent to which she doesn’t qualify as a true journalist.
Sonarspr
I tried
I liked this podcast until I realized that the take was just to be contrary to presented evidence. The 13th juror is the judge. That’s how it rolls. The podcaster here was moderately interesting for a while but it’s time to unfollow the show. At this point, I just can’t see eye to eye with driving home the contrarian perspective in light of all common sense. I guess that’s what it takes to drive listeners. But it’s so irrational that you just have to say enough is enough at some point.

Honestly I’m not sure what I’ll do without her every day for 8 hours but these podcast help get me through the weekend withdraws. If you love her podcast, you’ll love listening to her live on CJJ on YouTube. We bond over hos long side bahs will take.

Great info but biased
The details are really good and thorough! It’s great being able to follow this case so closely. I wish Brandi wasn’t so biased though. She’s really sarcastic and it can be a little much. She will say things like “this made me mad!” right before sharing audio from the case Or “this was so wild to me!” And maybe it’s just me but I’m not a big fan of getting my info with super biased opinions. I’d rather make my own decisions but it’s tough sometimes when every other line her telling her listeners how much she doesn’t like the prosecution.

Great recaps!
I found Brandi on the Crime Junkie Jury YT channel and I was led to this podcast as a wonderful recap of trial happenings each week. Brandi does such a great job pulling together the most important parts and simplifying the over complicated ones. Love this podcast!

Detail Oriented!
Brandi never fails to impress me with all the details, she never misses anything! The trial attorneys should seriously hire Brandi as a consultant. These podcasts are so well done, I click on them as soon as a new one pops up!
Wendosch
The best!!
Brandi never misses a detail and is the BEST at summarizing long, drawn out court proceedings into short, organized, easy to understand content. Her sweet subtle southern accent and adorable sense of humor makes every episode so entertaining!

Tremendous job!
Brandy does a tremendous job diving into cases and trying to find the truth!
Jbeau49855
This is not journalism
This woman is delusional if she thinks she is practicing journalism. The entire show is riddled with opinion and passive aggressive asides. It is an extremely personal and biased review of the case—entertaining if you like that kind of thing but in no way journalism.

Smart and thorough!
I listen to this as soon as the episode drops - great pace and info - they know their stuff!
Drea368
Inaccurate reporting
I listened to yesterday’s podcast and Karen Read info was told in half truths and twisted words. It’s one thing to tell your opinion but another when you state something was said but twist it or leave out information. For the record I was not guilty for the first trial but this time guilty of 2nd degree manslaughter which I’m open to change once as the trial moves along.

Great presentation of facts!
Brandi Churchwell does an amazing job of sorting through and presenting the facts in legal cases in a way that even I can understand. No need to google a court case if it’s one that she is covering!
LSU Chrissy
Has mastered the facts
For anyone looking for insightful, intelligent analysis of what is being presented by the lawyers now, and also how it compares to the last trial, look no further. Sharp, well spoken, fact oriented and absolutely compelling

Attention to detail is top notch!
I first heard of the Karen Reid trial two weeks into her first trial last year. I started looking up details and somehow found Brandy and this podcast and went back and listened to find out the full story. Brandi‘s attention to detail, her notetaking and recall and putting together the timeline is like nothing else I’ve ever seen. I definitely think she missed her calling as a detective. She is clear and concise with her information and she reports in a way that is easy to follow and does not hyperbole or embellish like some other podcasts. I have enjoyed this podcast so much that I refer everyone. I talked to about the Karen Reid trial to catch up and stay up-to-date with her podcast and also follow the trial on her feed with Crime Junkie Jury. Brandi is the best!

Check your ads
I enjoyed listening to this podcast, so I was appalled to hear ads for Kristy Noem promoting Trump’s racist and xenophobic deportations of migrants. Not to mention that Trump’s actions are unlawful! Brandi may not be aware she’s promoting this but please look into what you’re advertising… Is that what this podcast stands for?
