Sickness is a common occurrence, physically and mentally. In thispsalm David prays for healing, acknowledging that it could be rebuke(correction) for angering the Heavenly Father. It is not commonbelief that sickness could be correction from the most High or thathealing comes from him. Apocrypha Ecclesiasticus 38:9 “Myson, in thy sickness be not negligent: but pray unto the Lord, and hewill make thee whole.” By the severity of the ailment is alsothe grief in spirit. There is no medicine that could properly healthe mind and spirit. That is why it is important to meditate on thescriptures.
