At 27, Greg Brown found his passion. He didn’t realise it at the time; he was a high-flyer in enterprise IT in London and had decided to relieve stress by trying home brewing.
It started as a hobby – but he was drawn deeper into how it melded art and science, and both his logical and creative sides, into one. Eventually, he realised that he didn’t want brewing as a hobby. He wanted to do it as a career.
When the opportunity came, in 2015, to move from London to Singapore, he seized
the opportunity to jump in, feet first, into the brewing career he wanted.
Adrian Abraham speaks to Greg Brown, Head Brewer at Thirty Six Brewlab and Smokehouse about following his passion, how he ended up in Singapore and how the Republic's craft beer scene compares to the rest of the world.
