Mr. Garrity does such a fantastic job covering an incredibly important topic, depositions are the new trial and for those of us who are not “trial practitioners” (I consider myself a construction litigator and lawyer, but not a “trial practitioner“ because I don’t do enough trials) I know that I have benefited from his guidance immensely!

I was recently part of a lawsuit and subscribed to get an idea of what to expect at my upcoming deposition. I got hooked and listened to every episode. I still listen for fun even though my deposition was months ago.

I don’t usually leave reviews but feel compelled to here. Each episode provides clear and well-supported advice about deposition practice that is informed by experience.

I’m not a “review person”, but this podcast deserves one. While I’m a defense lawyer who litigates far more in state than federal courts, Jim provides insightful tips that are incredibly useful for ALL trial lawyers -- plaintiff and defense, and both new or seasoned. Further, he’s accessible and responsive to listeners who reach out to his team for additional info.

This podcast is probably the most practical and useful podcast I know of. As much as I love trial strategy and war story podcasts, they aren’t always so useful for the average litigator who tries far fewer cases than the trial lawyer luminaries who make them. Jim’s podcast, on the other hand, is chock full of practical information and comes complete with case citations (and even parentheticals).

Even though I’ve been practicing for many years, novel issues often come up during depositions. The technical information provided in this podcast has been so helpful in providing information and perspective that helps me back up positions I take with confidence. For example, the recommendation of taking a printer to a deposition, a portable printer, is absolute genius level. I never even thought of it. Keep up the great work. I've bought all of Jim Garrity's books on deposition tactics and strategies, so it's great to have podcast episodes to download and listen to when I'm traveling or have downtime. The episodes are EXCELLENT. I love the fact that he limits each episode to a single topic, and then covers it in detail. So many fantastic tips and tactics. I'm an experienced lawyer, but in fact I haven't thought of some of these strategies before. Great to finally put a voice to the name of the author whose expertise I've been absorbing through his books for years. Thank you. Keep up the great work. It's truly appreciated. I was thrilled to see that he also does a podcast, and I love that each episode is very specific. I work in a litigation firm, with some lawyers that have been practicing for a very long time, but we just don’t take that many depositions. So this is super helpful.
