Rambling about anything but HAM radio
I’m 15 minutes into an episode and it’s just dudes laughing and talking about anything but ham radio. I don’t even know why they are laughing so much. They aren’t saying anything funny. Annoying.

Are you there or not
Either go all in on podcast or just get out! Recently all I hear is how busy you are and how much money you need but not much radio stuff!

Great radio voice, great sense of humor
I could listen to Christian and his crew all day long. He has a voice made for radio! Funny guy, too. My favorite was when he talked about doing “jazz hands” at his neighbor’s Ring Camera, totally embarrassing his kids. I checked out the YouTube channel but dang, the dude’s gotta face for radio, too! 😆 I will miss this podcast, but Will enjoy listening to the repeats.

Too fast
I enjoy the podcast. Normally good content. I have ears that have been around jets for thirty years. The speed at which he talks has me backing up the podcast to try and hear it again. If possible, try and slow down.

Episode 231
Didn’t appreciate the term “diaper rash” referring to older hams pushing back on the ARRL frequency give away to Techs. Seems like the hosts have their preconceived notions. Otherwise an enjoyable listen while running errands in the car.

Good episodes, great community
The podcast episodes are nice, short, East listening about ham radio, not intended to teach with a lot of technical detail but to provide relatable stories related to ham radio. Christian runs a helpful and active Facebook group under the title 100 watts and a wire. Nice community for hams of all experience levels.

Enjoyable
I enjoy listening to this podcast. Christian doesn’t waste your time. You get a podcast that is short enough to take you across town but full of great material. I participated in the Fall Out and really enjoyed it.

Too political and divisive for a hobby forum
Enjoyed the ham radio content but the social justice rants have become too regular.

Ham Radio Mind Vitamins
This podcast is perfect to listen to while on your commute to work or doing tasks around the house. With Christians years of experience as a radio personality, he really knows how to push out some thought provoking subjects into your ears. A good voice, nice cadence with great thoughts about life and Ham Radio. Make sure you take your weekly Mind Vitamins with 100 Watts and a Wire!

Friendly and enjoyable
This podcast is primarily about amateur radio, but it's also about the host, Christian. Just like the 100 Watts and a Wire Facebook group is primarily about radio but also a community where virtual friends share life experiences, the podcast does the same. It's this casual, sitting-down-for-coffee-and-a-doughnut approach that makes 100WAAW fun. It also tries to help newcomers by introducing various topics that they might find interesting in a clear, easy-to-understand format. Thank you, Christian.

Great Amateur Radio Podcast!
I’ve been listening since Episode 1, and Christian brings a fresh, regular-guy-with-a-life-outside-ham-radio perspective to the hobby in a very engaging format. It’s not too technical yet not too soft...kind of like Goldilocks and the bears, he gets it “just right”! I anxiously look forward to each episode!

This guy has an ego
I'm 27 minutes into this 37 minute episode, which so far consists exclusively of advertising, whoring for Patreon support, and begging for volunteers to run a net in the name of this show, ostensibly to circumvent FCC regulations which would prevent him from mentioning this program, in which he obviously has a pecuniary interest. And by the way: not every ham wants a fricking D Star.

I really wanted to like it...
I really wanted to like this podcast, already being both a huge ham radio nerd and a podcast junkie due to my hour long commute (each way). I just can't get into this podcast though, having given several episodes a try. Things I dislike: The host talks way, way too slow. I mean slower than those stereotypical guys in the south. The host treats this like a talk radio format or maybe even a morning drive time DJ slot. Lots of boring banter about things I don't care about. There were three minutes of him complaining about mowing the lawn at the start of the latest episode for crying out loud. Instead of starting with a bang that draws you in, I'm immediately turned off. Then he goes on to talk about the noise in the next room over from his wife. I didn't really think the noise was audible, but I wasn't interested in hearing him talk about it, and a professional would have just re-recorded when it was noise free. It's like listening to your grandpa drawl on before finally getting to anything interesting. It's almost all in the outdated Rush Limbaugh format. I don't know how anyone over 40 can get into this show. It's just not what I'm looking for. The info, when finally presented is usually just someone's opinion and not a definitive source, and often just skims the surface of the topic (at least in the handful of episodes I've heard). It's better to just google the topic you're interested in and get the info. Props to the host for at least trying to do a regular ham radio show, but the format, host, and info presented has all been a turn off to me.

Thanks
I've been searching for this podcast for quite some time. Thank you for devoting you precious time to the community. Robin KE0EAO. PS I hope I can get WY7YL on wednesday night. Unfortunatly I could not hear N0STH? on 20 last night but did hear others farther out. MO stations are difficult for my Iowa QTH.
