I've noticed a lot of death lately, and it's been really close, almost like looking in the mirror. There's no way to have a "proper", painless, grieve, but maybe if we look a little differently at our lives now and the tools that we use to understand (Religion, traditions, spirituality and what have you), maybe things can be a little easier, joyful even, because it's purposeful. 

"Julie" is a wife in an open marriage. We had an on going relationship for about 5 years. She was there during my addiction and she had questions that followed into my recovery. I want to dedicate this episode to Jacob Blake, just because it was the most recent, senseless shooting of another person of color....This episode is with my man Lucas aka Otis Ghost, a poet, an mc, a friend. The shooting happened the very next day after this conversation between us. The fact he just put out a song the speaks of the murder of George Floyd, we're at a point where we can't even keep up. Rest in Paradise to all the American citizen that have been gunned down, unarmed by the people that are supposed to protect and serve you, based on the fact that you are seen as a threat solely based on your appearance. And everyone that lacks the compassion, I'm trying so hard to forgive. I'm not there yet, but God knows I'm trying....
