hello darlings welcome to royal clarence now it's the middle of the night here um 42 minutes past midnight to be exact and it suddenly occurred to me i forgot to take my sleeping pill and i have to take it four hours before bedtime but i forgot tonight so i'm up for two hours extra and i thought well i might as well do my broadcast um it feels very very calm at the marina every everyone you know disappears there's not a lot of sailing goes on after dark hair i've been to after dark sailing and in the soland and it's absolutely petrifying there are channels that go under the sea under the water all around so they suddenly become really really deep and
actually it's quite treacherous so if the wind's up and you've got a small yacht it it's quite you know i mean fine in daylight but once dark starts and i i i'm terrible sailor i mean i tried it about a year ago or two years ago i don't know between lockdowns i think and um i thought no i must get in with the yachty crowd um because i you know i'd heard that people with yachts were were terribly um sophisticated well they're not actually i suppose people who own yachts that cost millions are but the ones that own um you know those ones that they park in their driveway of their suburban three bed they usually got three beds haven't they sometimes four actually they're suburban and they're they have a four court and that and then there's a yacht
parked can you hear that that's romeo who's decided to clean his nethers um always every time i the minute i turn on record actually there he goes with so it's either eating scratching pooping or having a jolly good clean out so i think it's stopped now um anyway i thought to myself oh i need to get in with the yachty crowd um so that i can be fabulous as well and i spent 200 pounds or something on i bought wellie boots or sailing boots i bought pumps um i bought and uh waterproof overall things in red they're very very fetching actually really fetching i've still got them i use them when it's pouring with rain on my push bike um what else did i buy i would i bought lots of stuff on ebay second hand and it still ran up a 200 pound bill you know jumpers would i bought a woolly sailor's jumper um a hat to keep me warm my ears warm um and we went out and there were a couple of really hardcore die-hard sailors a
marriage couple and i could tell that they weren't happy that i talked all the way through there was another lady there and she didn't want to be there she'd been dragged there by her husband who'd said no come on you'll love it you'll love it and and he really liked it and he wanted to do a skipper exam what have you and she said oh god okay you know like that and we just you know ended up talking all night and we i could really tell that this couple were not impressed with my guessing...
