hello would-be podcasters now i was going to call this live at lunch but it's only half past 11 so it's not exactly lunch time is it i've just eaten though so i was getting a bit confused that my mother gave me the most revolting thing i've ever tasted it was a it was called a mushroom burger and it's the slimiest thing i've ever come across in my entire life don't go there it was a cheap brand mind you and i should be suspicious i think of my mother when she gives me things because that usually means she tried a bit because she likes to experiment when she goes to the supermarket and she didn't really like the slime either so they end up in my bicycle pannier so there we go anyway you are here probably because you're thinking about
podcasting or perhaps you want to do one of my 60 second love stories or perhaps my um well whatever else i call for artists regularly and this channel is probably the one you're listening on at any rate is um for adult literature so you can be a bit more grown up but i've got loads of children's podcasts as well so i'd be happy for children's stories too there's never as much financial gain in a children's story um and unless of course you go global you know disney or something but to be honest there's an awful lot of competition for uh children's stories i mean they're everywhere they're a rash on the internet and they're all free
unfortunately so it's quite hard to make money through children's stories having said that i have my own character vapour punk um but he's just starting out and i'm prepared to carry on for the long haul with that anyway digressing what i was interested in telling you today is the different podcast um streaming sites that you can use and my favorites and why i like them so i've been with i've only been with three i've been with a cast i've been with spreaker and i've been with podbean oh and i think i went with buzz sprout as well so i've been around a bit um you know i've i've been podcasting for about 10 years and i've explored avenues i mean once speaker closed me down for copyright um because i uploaded a live gig now it was a live gig
but because there was no talking in it they they wouldn't play ball with me they wouldn't hear my pills or anything so you've got to be careful with spreaker let's do speaker first the sprinkler will shut you down at the drop of a hat if you accidentally even um play music that you're not supposed to play somebody else's music i mean perhaps the live bands hadn't given me consent um i mean that's quite likely actually because uh i think i got them off um yeah it's probably quite likely looking back i mean i was very indignant at the time um and and the thing is as well they deleted all of my episodes so all my episodes up to that point of which
there were hundreds and hundreds and so that's really upsetting so you with spirit you have to play ball now i think really with all of them you have to play ball you might recall recently when that the i won't mention his name because i don't want to plug him but that guy who does this sort of very right-wing political banter show on spotify spot if i wouldn't take him down well at some point it comes down to how much money you're generating and if you're generating a lot of money you can probably get away with a lot more um but you and i are the little guys yes so um watch out for that but what i love about speaker is that you can
download an app onto your phone onto your uh laptop which is what i'm talking to now and i'm talking through a zoom mic which was very expensive actually it's about 700 pounds i think and the laptop was about 12. so for two grand i've set up my talking studio however this is quite recent before that hundreds of them audio broadcasts i...
