Steve Merfeld is the man involved in the most famous hug in college basketball history. After his No. 15-seed Hampton Pirates upset Iowa State in the first round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament, he was lifted in the air by his player, David Johnson. That photo is legendary. Everyone's seen it. He joined 68 Shining Podcasts to talk about that game, that moment and the aftermath.
