We are dropping at the tail end of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Jesus has discussed a number of challenging topics and closes His sermon with a comparison of two houses and how they weather a storm. One that is built on rock survives the storm and one that is built on sand does not. Jesus likens this to how we build our lives. We discover that if we build our life on foundations other that God, we will not fare well in the storms of life, and we can also jeopardize our future legacy. We will discover how we can protect ourselves by making some decisions now that will strengthen our foundations in the present and the future.
