Welcome to 66 in 365: Bible Reading for Kids! We are excited to kick off 2022 with reading the Bible with you Our goal is to help our kids be engaged with the Bible every day this year and we hope that you will join us! On today's episode we are going to be recapping some of the laws that the levites would be carrying out over the next several hundred years within the nation of Israel. We are not going to be reading these chapters, but instead will be giving a brief highlight of the book of leviticus for the same reasons that we have jumped through some of the other drawn out parts of the story. We want to have our kids engaged with the scripture each day and yes, the levitical law is part of scripture and is beneficial for learning and providing context for the rest of the Bible, it is a very difficult book to read through because so many of the practices are not continued today and for the purposes of this podcast, we have decided to give a recap...But we do encourage parents and kids to jump in and read the scripture word for word and see what connections you can make to New Testament practices, traditions and why Jesus was so revolutionary. Our question of the day is: What would it look like to rest for God instead of for yourself?Don't for get to practice our memory verse this week and if you want to send us a sound clip of the verse you practiced, we will add it to next week’s shows! Send it to [email protected]This week's memory verse is Philippians
