This is a series of 66 mini podcasts - to support you through a 66 day alcohol free challenge.

The challenge lasts for 66 days because that's how long it takes to change a habit.

We have published an e-book called "66 days to sobriety" (available on our website https://www.tribesober.com) - this book contains 66 pages of tips, tools and motivation so I will read a page a day for these mini podcasts.

I will also update you on the healing taking place in your body and mind as you progress through the 66 days.

The gift of time

One thing you may discover during your alcohol-free period is that you have more time on your hands...

When you are a drinker you don't have to make too many decisions about how to spend your time - it just kind of glides by – and it’s going to involve wine, beer, cocktails..

You are either planning the drinking, doing the drinking - or recovering from the drinking.

So there could just be a chance that you have lost track of what fun actually is - besides drinking!

When you stop drinking for a month, you suddenly get a third-ish of your day back.  That's because your days don't fizzle out at 6pm and instead of floating through your weekends in a dream you're there for all of it..

Time is not something we ever get back so why not use that extra time to complete an overdue project, take up a new sport or even discover some new alcohol free activities.
