That’s significant because it helps establish Jesus as fulfilling Jewish prophecy. Luke’s genealogy traces Jesus' lineage back to Adam. That emphasized His connection to all humanity. These genealogies reveal Jesus' dual nature. He is fully God and fully man. This is a difficult truth for us to wrap our minds around. But this connection reminds us that Jesus, our Savior, understands our humanity and has come to redeem us.
