where David gives us this command: “Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the LORD our God is holy!” To be holy means to set apart from what is worldly or common, and to be completely separated from sin. So there is nothing about God that is impure or sinful. Everything that he does is right and good. In 1 John 1:5, John didn’t use the word holy but he described what holiness is when he said this: “This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” Nothing about God is or ever could be sinful. God is holy.
