A lesson in patience and endurance or a lesson in farming? Maybe both. James uses the analogy of farming and growing crops to believers waiting for the return of Jesus. There's not a lot we can do to speed things up. We must wait, not complaining. Everyone's got problems. Everyone suffers.  How you deal with it, in the waiting, is up to you.
