Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has come onto the political scene fast and hard. Most noteworthy, Joe Crowley lost his seat to her and she hasn't looked back since. He had been a congressman for in the 7th and 14th district for a 20 year career and it was considered a huge upset. Her politics are considered "far left". Therefore, she has some very strong opinions on what she thinks needs to happen.

Today we go over where she came from and how she made it to her current position. After that we are going to talk about how she is challenging the establishment and what the "Green New Deal" is.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a Democratic Socialist. It comes from the fact that she thinks we should give life sustaining jobs and free health care for all but no plan on how to implement it. I also go over some statistics about pollution and where the United States stands in the scheme of things.
