Canada has universal health care and millions of doses of the vaccine were already ordered. In fact, Canada has secured the world's largest number of potential Covid vaccine doses per capita. Canada has signed deals with seven vaccine suppliers such as Moderna and Pfizer, as well as ones with pending authorization like AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson, and also COVAX for a total of over 400 million doses. The country has long had a COVID-19 vaccination plan. So why are so few of its citizens vaccinated?
