Jake Day is a leader who truly values connection and is intensely intentional about connecting with his 400+ employees and 35,000+ citizens as the 28th Mayor of Salisbury, Maryland. On top of that, Jake is a Captain in the US Army National Guard, a graduate of the University of Maryland, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Oxford. In this interview Jake shares what he has learned about leadership from his time in the Army, what he has learned about people and public service from all of his travels and education, and why he values connection as the Mayor of a small city and as a team leader.
