When we think about Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, we think of the yearly atonement of the Children of Israel. However, the Torah says that the blood of the goat of the Yom Kippur service served to cleanse the Tabernacle and its furnishings from the "uncleannesses of the people of Israel."
